The Billboard Mercer Avenue is a pop-punk / alternative band from Monmouth County, New Jersey. After recording their first demo EP in September 2008, Tom Smeaton (Vocals/Bass), Pat Hynes (Guitar/Vocals), Dan Lisi (Guitar/Keys), and Joe Zorzi (Bass) are currently in the process of recording a debut full-length album. 11 songs have already been recorded and the band is planning on finishing up their album in May 2010. The band has been working out of Poolhouse Studios and now Frankensound Studios, working with producer Paul Gruensfelder and engineer Tim Flanzbaum, who worked on Paramore’s 2007 platinum album, Riot!. The band has also worked with Doug Lebowitz (Someday Never) in Animal Sound Studios to help produce, record, and remix songs that will appear on the album. The full length album, which is unnamed for now, is expected to be released in June 2011. The band also plans to announce a summer 2011 east coast tour that includes both acoustic and electric shows.
