The Company We Keep is the brainchild of Brian Southall (formerly of The Receiving End Of Sirens) and Justin Pierre (Motion City Soundtrack). The project came about towards the end of TREOS’ career, as Southall was looking to stay active with music. While working for MCS, Southall began to share tracks with Pierre, who took an interest in writing for the project. After months of working together, the two decided to make TCWK a full fledged band, and started taking action to make it a reality. They enlisted drummer Branden Morgan (Misery Signals) and began working on tracks as a band. At its core, Southall writes the music, Pierre writes the lyrics/melodies, then as a band, they finalize each song.

After releasing their debut 7″, Making Moves, the band ventured on two short tours to support the release. By the end of the second tour, their current vocalist had decided to depart the band. Enter: Haden Brightwell. Now with a new singer finally in place, TCWK is ready to hit the studio and track their debut LP.
