I don't know about you, but Pop-influenced Americana does it for me. Man In A Crowd certainly fits...
We love making music and playing shows. Weíre not that fond of writing third-person biographies and comparing our sound to a synthesis of indistinguishable post-genres. We hope our songs will get your feet stomping, your knees knocking, and your heart pounding Ė because thatís what they do for us.
'Donít Paint Your Days So Gray' is our first album. We wrote it over a period of two years in living rooms, basements, rehearsal studios, and dive bars. We recorded it over a period of four months in Boston and New York City. Itís about looking in the mirror. Itís about learning to live with the imperfect person who is looking back. Itís about the kind of twilight that exists between youth and whatever comes after it. Itís the culmination of years of searching for direction, and the realization that there isnít one. Weíre really proud of it and hope youíll give it a listen.
If you dig it, come catch us live some time. If it looks like weíre having a blast up there, itís because we are. If you get the sudden urge to join in on the fun, then welcome to the party. If you want to scream all the words at the top of your lungs in a slightly off-key fashion, be our guest. If you want to sit at the bar and quietly sip your gin and tonic, weíve been there too.
So come be part of the Crowd. Itís just the six of us in a room, playing the music we love and singing about the world that none of us has figured out yet.
