Hailing from New Orleans (birthplace of Jazz & Blues) and born into a diverse family ethnic background consisting of African-American, Native American Cherokee & French, Ikil Oriion at a young tender age set out to create a path of his own with the sole intent to conquer Planet Rock. The name Ikil Oriion means 'the brightest star in the galaxy', an international budding star and a global brand that emcompasses the spirit of what true Rock & Roll legends are made of. With his lead single 'For Better 'R' Worse' already gathering over 150k views on YouTube and publicly endorsed by Madonna and Yoko Ono, Ikil Oriion has been described as “Post- Rock” and drawing comparisons to iconic artists such as Lenny Kravitz, Mick Jagger, David Bowie & Iggy Pop. Running his own clothing company, Rebel Glitz, Ikil Oriion embraces music, art & fashion in a way Andy Warhol or Basquiat would today showcasing the distinct synergies between the three mediums. We call it “Raw Noir Nouveau Punk”.
With influences ranging from the Sex Pistols, The Clash to Depeche Mode and The Beastie Boys, Ikil Oriion has burst onto the scene grabbing the attention of music lovers, fashionista`s, dispelling the critics and holding the mainstream media hostage. The groundbreaking debut album titled "Paranoise Void" features an all-star cast of characters consisting of the original Ska/Punk pioneers Fishbone, New Orleans funkster Ivan Neville, UK legend Don Letts (Big Audio Dynamite), percussion maestro Leon Mobely (Ben Harper) and modern day guitar hero Rocky George of Suicidal Tendencies. Also, the album was mastered by grammy nominee Erick Labson (Lady Gaga + Black Eyed Peas) at Universal Mastering Studio in Hollywood, CA.
