The Billboard Well, Death Cab for Cutie began in 1997 as a solo project for me, but before that I recorded under the name "All-Time Quarterback". After the success of "You Can Play These Songs' Chords", I recruited a full-time band: guitarist/organist Christopher Walla, bassist Nick Harmer, and drummer Nathan Good, and in the summer of 1998, we released our debut LP, "Something About Airplanes". Just before finishing "We Have the Facts and We're Voting Yes", Nate left the band, and drummer Michael Schorr took his place. In fall 2000, we released "Forbidden Love EP". After that we released "Photo Album", and In 2003, Eureka Farm's Jason McGerr joined us as our new drummer. We then recorded our fourth album Transatlanticism. I also did postal service as a side project with Jimmy Tamborello.
