Team Goldie

Team Goldie began as the bedroom studio project of singer, rapper and multi-instrumentalist Matt DiStefano with no intentions of reaching anyone outside a small circle of friends. It's funny how quickly plans change.

Playing his first show to a packed Syracuse University apartment, he would graduate with a Music History degree a few short months later and never look back, sharing his genre-bending style of pop music on stage with an eclectic mix of musicians including Gym Class Heroes, Girl Talk, Plain White Ts, Ra Ra Riot, Boys Like Girls, Anberlin, Ted Leo and many more. Marathon bedroom recording sessions produced four EPs as DiStefano toured the northeast and midwest in his trusty Chevy Cavalier playing nearly 250 shows in 15 states. It is entirely possible that he has played with your favorite band and in your neighbor's basement on the same weekend.

DiStefano is currently demoing material for a yet to be titled 2010 LP. His SU diploma is in a drawer somewhere.
