The Years Gone By, comprised of four individuals from Freehold, NJ, have just one goal in mind: Take the throne as the kings of true pop-punk.
After touring relentlessly for the past two years with bands like Set Your Goals and Hit The Lights among others, and recently parting ways with screamo powerhouse label, Rise Records, The Years Gone By are back with their strongest release to date. Their new EP, "Something You Know Nothing About," is filled with new riffy-guitars, passionate melodies, and sing-along choruses that are sure to get stuck in anyone's head on the first listen. Recorded by good friend Mike Kalajian (The Audition, Just Surrender, etc) at 30/30 studios, the new EP will be self-released by the band to their legions of devoted fans on October 6th.
Even with tours lined up through the end of the year, the band is already preparing even more songs for a new full-length record on a new label in 2010. It's only a matter of time until the momentum of The Years Gone By's most recent efforts will secure a permanant spot in every hook-loving set of ears they touch.
