John Mayer 2/24/2010
02/25/10 at 12:57 AM by Keagan Ilvonen
Let me just say that John Mayer is a living legend. No matter what the man does he will always be relevant in music. I'm also fairly sure that the man can conquer anything that is thrown at him. After attending various concerts I can honestly say I think I witnessed the best tonight. Better than Brand New, Taking Back Sunday, anything. There is just something about John that stands out. This is what he was made to do and he is the best at what he does. Playing his guitar and making timeless music. Note for note the man was on fire and played his heart out until the end. It doesn't get much better in music, and more people should appreciate the raw talent that is John Mayer.

I saw him in DC...absolutely ridiculous. If he can get back to Continuum-style blues he'll have even more longevity, but either way he's one of the better artists of our generation.

Did you get 'Gravity'? He closed out encore with it, literally got on his hands and knees by the end of the song

Continuum is by far his best work but I think he will continue to be relevant with whatever he chooses to do. The man just has too much talent to not be.

Yeah he closed with gravity too, he didn't finish on the floor but he was all over the place during it. It was amazing. But he did get down on his hands and knees once or twice earlier in the show.

He talked about how he use to live in Massachusetts, wishing that we eventually would get his problems (The only problem being his ego haha), MIT, Dreams, and a few other things. Overall it was hilarious just listening to him talk. I would pay to just have him stand up there and talk honestly.

he does do stand-up, that definitely helps.
haha ours was about how he wants a boat with helicopter rotors so he can fly over the US from the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean. He called it a 'heli-boat'...slogan: that's a helluva boat!
