Anyway, I'm really glad to hear this. I told a lot of people who claimed that he was the real drive behind Panic that he by himself would be mediocre, and it looks like I called it right. Pretty relieved that I'm not going to have to eat my word on this.

Considering his dumb ambition to try and stray from Panic's original sound, a composition wouldn't be out of the question.

Depending on the delivery, simple lyrics don't usually bother me. But I'm not a huge Beatle's buff anyways, so even if the music was good I don't know that this would ever be my cup of tea.

For some reason, I am relieved to hear this. My knowledge of rock forerunners such as The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Elvis Presley, and Wham is very, very minimal. It's good to know that one can be a great performer/musician without knowing everything there is to know about music. If school doesn't work out, it's good to know I can still cling to my guitar. Thank you for giving me hope.

i'm kind of with you hayley on the beatles thing. i like and respect the beatles greatly, but i personally enjoy and get more out of the beach boys. the beatles never made anything better than pet sounds, period. interesting album cover too, easily a mimic of a beach boys album.

i hope this album isn't as bad as people are saying it is.

I just don't think that Ryan Ross' voice can carry a band. It's a nice idea, and the album art is nice, but I think he should just let The Beatles be The Beatles.

is a little sketchy) That said - anyone not giving this record a chance is crazy. These dudes proved themselves creatively on pretty.odd. Anyone that disagrees is out of their head...in my own opinion. And now they're out to enjoy their lives playing some fun pop tunes.

It seems like everyone makes the argument of them being a beatles ripoff, but I mean, come on, the music is just 50s-60s influnced pop rock way more the kinks than beatles. Open your mind a little.

I totally dig the 3 tracks I've heard. They are nothing more than pop songs uninfluenced by the pristine, fake sounding digitalness that we call music nowadays. I love the realness/rawness of their sound and I hope more people work to bring it back.

If any of that doesn't make sense it's half because of alcohol and half because of my broken phone. Word.

It's my opinion that good lyrics can make a band (Bright Eyes), but bad lyrics are hard to break a band. I can zone out of the lyrical meaning of a song and just enjoy the instrumentation and melody of a song. Hell, the Beach Boys rarely sang about anything besides Surfing, Cars, and Chasing girls, but they are undoubtedly one of the greatest of all time.

However, from the 2 songs I've heard from the Young Veins, the lyrics aren't terrible by any means. I can't wait for the album and to see them at Bonnaroo!!

Just because this guy says the album sucks, none of you are even going to give it a chance? How lame are all of you.

I saw them live, and they sounded amazing, so I'm definitely looking forward to this album. Great song writing, great melodies and great harmonies.
