I pretty much agree. I love RDJ, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Don Cheadle in this movie (along with Scarlet Johansson's body), but they tried to fit too much into the movie. Stark's dark period/drinking problem, for one, was never fleshed out as much as it could/should have been. Also, not a huge fan of Mickey Rourke in this movie. It was still an enjoyable movie though, with some great humor and dialogue.

Stark's descent into alcoholism could be a heavy-hitting theme for an Iron Man movie. It's a character trait that really helps to separate him from other comic book heroes. Maybe the third movie will bring that part of Stark's life to light.

I hope so. I thought that it was going to be explored more in Iron Man 2, but obviously they decided not too do so. I think a darker feel would be good for the next Iron Man.
