Saving my spot for when I have time to read this. Mostly because pop punk is my favorite and I feel like everyone probably already knows that about me. So excited for this tour to hit my area next month.

Edit: Hi Thomas. I just got around to reading this. Loved it, great writing. Exactly why I love these bands and the genre.

Rory McCoid, who booked the show in Jacksonville, would like to add this about the sense of community in the pop-punk scene:

"Just like when I called my friend at Comcast to install my illegal cable, a lot of bands wouldn't be where they are now without help from friends. And I wouldn't be watching reruns of Fresh Prince."

While I probably shouldn't have read that at 2 am on a Monday, I'm not sad that I did because it was definitely interesting to read.

This was a very solid read. I've tried many times to get into all four of these bands, and with the exception of The Wonder Years at times, haven't been successful. That being said, I love pop punk and these bands all seem to be legitimate "defenders of the faith". They definitely have my support. I'd MUCH rather see bands like this on a tour package with NFG than A Day To Remember and Four Year Strong, who I had the displeasure of sitting through in between Crime in Stereo and NFG a few years ago. At least FYS did a Suicide File cover. That was kinda cool.

I digress. Good work Thomas. You're pop punk and I'm telling everyone ;)
