Wanted: "Oldies"/Classic Music Recs
Wanted: "Oldies"/Classic Music Recs
09/23/10 at 07:37 PM by Ryan Gardner
The last few weeks I've been trying to expand my musical tastes, listening to some "oldies" and discovering old artists and such.

I've been digging The Beatles a ton (but that's a given), The Beach Boys, Billy Joel, some Styx, old U2, Bob Dylan, Pink Floyd, Nirvana, The Clash, Simon & Garfunkel, some Rush, etc.

Can any of you all help me find some more old/classic artists or records I still need to add to my collection? Much appreciated.

Bruce Springsteen and Bob Dylan. Those two have such deep discographies you can probably spend the rest of the year exploring them ha.

Haha yeah, I'm just getting into Bob Dylan. I'll definitely check out Springsteen; I've only heard a few of his songs to be honest. Thanks!

No prob! For Springsteen I'd recommend starting with his album Thunder Road. It's absolutely incredible, probably my favorite album of all time.

You may know them but The New York Dolls, David Bowie and The Velvet Underground have been on my mind lately.

I'd highly recommend Van Morrison too. He doesn't get as much love but man does that guy have a sweet discography.

I'm sorry, I just realized I totally gave you the wrong album name hahaha. The albums called Born to Run and the first track off of it is Thunder Road.
