If anyone has paid any attention to my blog (by the way, does anyone pay any attention to my blog?), they know that the end of the summer was rough as hell for me. The beginning of the school year, while better, has not been great either. Naturally, the music I listen to has turned as well. But there seems to be a stark contradiction between the feel of these albums.

The Antlers vs. fun.
Ted Leo and The Pharmacists vs. Sunny Day Real Estate

etc.

Maybe it's me grasping onto whatever positivity I can find, or maybe it's just me trying to hard. But what I've noticed is the happier albums don't make me feel happier, I certainly enjoy listening to them, but differently. For example fun.'s "At Least I'm not as Sad". As opposed to...[read more]

Haha, don't feel creepy. It's on the internet. Good to know that I'm not just spewing shit to nobody.

Ha, at least I've moved on from the girls from work, and still talk to the one who dumped on the last day of camp fairly normally. At least she talks fairly normally haha. Of course the girl that I am focusing on now is one of my good, good friends, so that's horribly complicated.

oh man. yes, that's extremely complicated. i've had that happen to me once, and really it comes to asking yourself if it's worth losing a great friendship for a possible relationship.
