We've come to the end of the first ten years of the new millennium, and the old format of 12" records came back strong. Many believe it to be a counter to the digital boom, others believe it may be a fad. There's no denying that with the success of this year's Record Store Day and the fact that many of our old favorites and major label classic represses have made it a year for wax on - wax off.

Many of you know, I'm no exception to the rule. Ever since my father handed me down his collection four years ago, I've been slowly building my own. I've also been quite a fan of the tangible/digital download card mix, that I hope many labels keep holding onto or pick up on.

You got the extra 10" Vinyl for volume #4 of Thrice because the one included in the actual packaging had some skips and flaws in it. They didn't want to open a sealed copy so they sent the extra 10" as a replacement of the one included inside.

I have to say, my best find this year was the original UK pressing of the White Album for $20 in good condition with all inserts and an embossed cover...but I went with new releases...

I consider myself lucky as hell...but it was on my birthday this year...so I feel like it was life's little present to me...

Yes! First find my first week living in Austin. These are all the records I bought this year. I have a bigger collection than this for sure.

I have been listening and collecting records since I found my dad's old records and player a few years ago. Some of my personal favorites from his collection are The Who's "Quadrophenia" The Rolling Stones's "Sticky Fingers" (with an actual zipper on the cover), and Led Zeppelin's IV.
