I severely disagree with your take on life, cliche's and the notion that nothing is original. Are you saying you are doing the site justice by getting it's logo tattooed on your upper arm? I'm baffeled with your train of thought.

The only justice I give this site is the work I put in. I also know that a) I'm not the first staffer to get the logo and b) I'm not the first user to have this tattoo. I'm saying that I do what I do because I'm influenced by things...things that other people are influenced by. Does that make me original? Probably not. Does that make anyone original? Probably not. The only thing we can do is take our influences and TRY to make it our own. A lot of our influences are the same though. To me, in a way, it's kind of cliche. It seems so many are getting tattoos these days. it seems cliche.

I enjoy my life and what I do every day I get up. I have a skewed look on life because I can't stand people who live it for all the wrong reasons. Especially in music. I go through/listen/see hundreds of bands a week. I see through bullshit, and there's plenty out there.

This blog was a stream of conscious (like most of my writing) and an explanation as to why I got this tattoo. There are a ton of original things out there, but I would say that they're all influenced by something that came before it. That's with music, creative ideas and anything...

The act of getting a tattoo maybe cliche, but your tattoo shouldn't be if it possesses any value to you. When something is cliche that means it has lost its meaning; I am influenced by the concept that I create meaning through my actions, and in that sense, nothing I value as important can be cliche to me. You obviously value what you create for this site, and as a symbol of pride you have given yourself a medal to show that you regard what you create with the uppermost dignity and praise, and you should. As long as you are proud of what you produce you have no reason for guilt. You have no reason to disgard the many influences that comprise your drive to succeed as unoriginal because the end result is something completely you, and completely original.

On a side note, I also find that there are very few people I can stand being around as well, but I believe that is due to this country's deteriorating backward social structure that places emphasis on false claims, vanity brought on by unearned power, and mankind's aspirations toward ultimate technological assimilation.

That is a good story/blog. If the time is right down the line, I might end up getting an AP.net tattoo. It's something that's been a big part of my life for a long time, and I don't think it's leaving it anytime soon.
