My last few years of high school and early years of college were spent with mix CDs made up of my favorite tracks still played on a CD player (this ancient brick of a device) through a tape deck on my drives home in my '91 Buick LaSabre (probably the closest I'll ever come to owning a tank).
So these are five of the best CDs my friends found in my apartment and car and how I feel about them today. I'm including full track listings as to...[read more] | | |

So looking back, that's still pretty solid for me. I bolded the ones I still love with no shame, but most I haven't heard in a while. I got that sweet JV song, HVH, Can We Sleep still rules, solid EOTC, SA, and Panic songs, I think the ones after this started getting good, and the one before was like five Panic songs. I could combine these two and make a great mix. maybe I'll find some more...
Also: I forgot Locale A.M. existed. Great, high-energy cheeseball pop music! I forget how I found them, way back when but I think it may have been MP3.com
I spray painted it pink, used gold glitter paint to write text across it, and a typewriter to type across cut up carpet coloring chart squares which i used to make into a small tracklisting booklet. I then poked tiny holes into each end and tied them together with pieces of guitar string.
First track was 88 Fingers Louie's "Tomorrow Starts Today", some obscure female fronted glam rock band, a short political speech from the 70's as an interludes, and I think it ended with a short Limp Wrist track.
