I don't think you guys understand just how bad these snowstorms are on the East Coast. Baltimore is a complete wasteland right now. In fact, the govenor declared a state of emergency. Just this past weekend, 20 to 30 inches blanketed our beloved streets, and then, the literal icing on the cake, we've added 10 to 20 more inches in the past day. Trees and roofs are collapsing from all the snow weight. The problem, besides the quantity and that it has no where to go after the storm passes, is that they haven't even plowed the streets from the last storm.
I know, I know, you Midwestern folks must think we are pussies. Which is exactly true. Hence the reason why we don't know what else to do except freak out and marvel. I've lived in Maryland since I was 4; this is epic for us.
Schools are already out for the whole week, government jobs are closed and even Starbucks is closed. And that takes an apocalyptic event, which this practically is.
I already cleaned the apartment and I after I blast through my email, I may just do my taxes.
