Finally saw them on Thursday. Amazing show, but let me talk about the other bands first:
Fireworks were great. You see when i saw them at gig life, their sound or something was not appealing. It had to be the way it was set up but i just could not get into their live set. However, at the HOB Sunset they sounded great! they had a fun set and they closed with Detroit which had a little circle pit that my good friend Morgan Miller started.
HelloGoodbye was boring, aside from ONE thing. Their Merch guy came out in a tracksuit and started to dance around while stripping. now usually i do not find this funny, but what happened to my friend Kellen was the reason why it was funny. They made eye contact and then he came into the crowd and started to dry hump my friends head hahahaha. Other then that Hellogoodbye had a boring set.
Saves the Day was a band i did not really listen to before the show, so i did not know of any of the words. The band themselves were spot on; the other guitarist was shredding so hard (sorry) that i thought he had written the songs himself even though he has only been in the band since 2009. The set SEEMED boring, but that was their type of music. It was very SDRE-esque.
NFG ruled. I loved how everyone was singing along to each song from the S/T. Also, i realized how fucking good that cd is! not a single song of filler. Their setlist ended with Ballad wheere chad came on the barricade next to me and sat there with the mic out to the crowd.
they came out for their encore with a few of my favorite songs, and ended with intro/my friends over you.
sorry this isnt that long lol. im running on fumes. so fucking tired. chadball if u read this, thanks again for the interview. it prob wont be up on the schools site because i realized my friends ipod fucked up the sound. so it will probally be under print
