01) Here are the box office numbers from last weekend (9/24-9/26):

01. Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps $19,011,188

03) A couple of casting additions to the newest Mission Impossible installment in Josh Holloway and Michael Nyqvist.

04) Christopher Nolan confirms that he is directing a third Batman film under his helm.

05) Stephen Fry will be playing Sherlock's older brother in Sherlock Holmes 2 and Jared Harris will be playing the role of Moriarty.

06) Of the short list of directors Christopher Nolan has in mind to direct the next Superman film, which would you be most interested in seeing at the head of the project? They are Daren Aronofsky, Matt Reeves, Zack Snyder, Tony Scott, Duncan Jones, and Jonathan Liebesman.

07) There were a number of losses in the film world this week. We lost Sally Menke, Arthur Penn, Tony Curtis, and Greg Giraldo.

08) This is one of those "can't-miss" opportunities in the film world. Back to the Future will be hitting select theaters on 10/23 and 10/25.

09) Lucas has been converting the Star Wars Saga to 3D and is expected to begin releasing them theatrically in 2012. The first film to be released will be Episode 1 - The Phantom Menace.

11) I really hope this happens. Cuaron's Gravity is a film with an excellent premise that I hope starts production soon.

13) Christopher Plummer has joined the cast of David Fincher's The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.

14) Rian Johnson's upcoming sci-fi thriller Looper has strengthened its cast with the addition of Emily Blunt.

15) Wes Anderson's newest film now has a title, will begin filming in Spring 2011 (and is live-action, FWIW), and will feature a boy and a girl, each 12, in the lead roles.

16) Comic Con will be staying in San Diego through 2015.
