...according to Aaron Marsh. I've hearing this as hearsay, so either way I've prepared myself. While I was waiting in line to enter The Middle East in Cambridge, MA, Jacob Marshall (drummer) of Mae was walking up and down the line distributing business cards and plugging his side project. I'm pretty sure I lost it. I ended up skipping the first two bands and chose to listen to Mae's Evening in a car until 10pm when Terrible Things came on. There are so many jokes I could start listing but I'll just keep it simple; they were terrible. Finally, Mae came on stage. The stage had the look of their album Evening with white Christmas lights as snow and blue and green lights as the sky. One thing I noticed was that Mae is a perfect couple band. There was a ridiculous amount of cuddling and who can blame them? Soundtrack To Our Movie is always a winner...along with every song they have. You could see some of the couples singing to each other. Sappy, I know, but it was a truly romantic atmosphere. I became beyond uncontrollable when Tisbury Lane showed up on the set list. Two hours later, I'm about to pass out from singing. I made it a point to meet David Elkins (lead singer) and as expected, he is the nicest, most humble, and genuine guy. Okay, I have a slight crush, so I'm bias. I really can't hear his voice and not fall in love. Bottom line: amazing.
