| The Blue Channel |
| Anyone have any idea which member of the band played and/or arranged the piano intro on the song "The Blue Channel" from Taking Back Sunday's Tell All Your Friends. Aside from "Your Own Disaster" I've never heard any piano in their music and there are no credits in the liner notes. Anyone have any ideas? | | Tags: The Blue Channel, Introduction, TBS, Tell All Your Friends |

| To Each His Own |
I just heard "Sink Into Me" again on TBS's facebook page (about my 4th time hearing it overall) and I gotta say it's great. It's got energy, a sweet chorus ( that is maybe repeated one too many times) and just makes me more excited to hear the rest of the album. 6/2/09 FTW Best Buy is gonna have a special edition for $15, I'm getting it fo sho.
And remember, the internet isn't for everyone. It's serious business.

| A successful Audition |
I bought the new Audition album today. I'm a little over halfway through listening to it. Sounds incredibly awesome. Shows a lot of growth from their last two releases. The production is tight and the instrumentation is extremely well put together. Oddly enough the cover art was designed by some guy that works for Glamour Kills, which explains the color choices. If you have even a passing interest in this band. Check out this album

| Taking Back Sunday doesn't listen to people who don't like them |
All the unjustified hate put towards the new TBS songs is just ridiculous. I say thar be a civil war comin'. Choose your side let's do battle.
Or!
The fans (me, among many others) can buy the album and enjoy the new music the band is producing and the people who have become too cool for TBS and believe the reason they exist is to take time of of their day to post how much the new songs suck can, okay get ready for this: not buy the album, and not listen to the songs. Weird right? That's right I said it, people who like the songs WILL buy and listen to them and people who don't like the songs can pass on the album and all accompanying news posts. Problem solved. I can't wait to see what the album gets rated on here, either way the review comments are gonna blow-up. | | Tags: TBS; pointless critisism, People like you are the reason people like me exist |

| The Best of AVA |
This blog is just to show what I think could make an awesome record if songs from both Angels and Airwaves albums were combined into one.
1.) The Adventure- Really cool intro and an awesome chorus make this song a great opener
2.) The War- Good song to keep the momentum from the opening track going
3.) Sirens- Slow the album down a bit, very atmospheric.
4.) Everything's Magic- Picks up the energy again, this is one catchy song
5.) Love Like Rockets- Nice intro and a good song overall.
6.) Do It For Me Now- One of my favorites, a strong song for the middle of the album to keep it interesting
7.) Secret Crowds- One of the best AVA songs
8.) Start The Machine- Works like an introduction to the final 2 epic tracks.
9.) True Love- Great chorus, intro builds anticipation.
10.) Heaven- And to cap off this album, possibly the best AVA song currently available. Great way to end the album.
6 songs from I- Empire and 4 from We Don't Need To Whisper. I'd say this is one heck of an album. At least if you're a fan. | | Tags: AVA, Best Of |

WHEN IT'S BATTERIES ARE SWITCHED OUT FOR NEW ONES!
Just hit 1,000 posts. Pretty sweet. And in only about 5 months.
Also picked up the new Manchester Orchestra today, it pleases me. Perhaps I should take more listens to the last album, could never really get into it before (aside from Wolves at Night). Also sad news: the Park Ave CD's store on-campus at UCF (University of Central Florida) is closing at the end of the semester. I so hate my generation's lack of appreciation for physical album purchases. It will be missed I've spent over $100 this year in that store. I guess I'll just take advantage of the 10% off while I can. :( The Audition's new album is out next week, that is gonna be excellent. Well I guess that's it for now. Notice how this blog has nothing to do with Brand New? | | Tags: 1K Celebration, Indie record store closing, sadness, The Audtion, Brand New fake-out |

| Just a stray observation |
Anyone else hear the similarities between the intros of "Something Left To Give"- The Starting Line and "New Guitar" Ace Enders? Sounds like almost the same guitar part. I'm not like calling shenanigans or anything I just like it when I find weird coincidences like this.
New Releases to pick up this week: Mean Everything To Nothing by...well you know who. | |

| Over This (Demo) Vs. New version by Ace Enders What a change! |
| The demo version was way different than the version of Over This on his new album. I was suprised to hear he changed it so much. Changes include: no guitar solo, new drums, new guitar part are the end, new bridge lyrics, new chorus lyrics and melody. I'm not sure which version I like more, it's cool to see how he changed certain things though. | |
