So in case anyone's curious (and I don't know why you would be), I just made a list of all of my all-time favorite albums. It's pretty extensive, and some of them I haven't listened to in years; but they're all albums I have loved at some point. I'm working on a top 10 or 20 or all-time, so I'll share that soon.
By the way, these are just the album names listed in order alphabetically by band...the actual band name isn't there. I was too lazy for that. But see how many you can match with the band haha. I bet I can't even do all of them without looking...

Not an actualy list yet, I'm just kinda compiling them here and I'll sort through and figure out what goes where in a few days when I have time. So far we have: The Wonder Years, The National, Against Me!, Neon Trees, The Morning Of, Eminem, AM Taxi, Drake, Travie McCoy, Hawthorne Heights, Tokyo Police Club, Four Year Strong, Minus the Bear, The Gaslight Anthem, She & Him, Trash Talk, Sleigh Bells, The Rocket Summer, theAudition, I Can Make A Mess Like Nobody's Business, Nick Jonas & the Administration (...yeah...), Motion City Soundtrack, Josh Ritter, The Forecast, Foxy Shazam, Fair, Envy On the Coast, Crime In Stereo, A Common Year, Circa Survive, Butch Walker, B.o.B., and Amber Pacific.
Dear lord, this is going to be difficult. I do already know my top 3 though:
1. The Wonder Years
2. I Can Make A Mess
3. The National
Just got home from seeing The Dangerous Summer. We drove almost 3 hours to watch this band play 8 songs, but it was far more than worth it, mostly because I got to meet AJ. I still can't believe it..I got to talk to him for over 5 minutes and it was so incredibly rad. Of course I wish I had asked him about amillion other things that what I did talk to him about, but whatever. I know I sound like a total fucking fanboy right now, but this guy is a lyrical god in my eyes so I don't really care. This band is probably my favorite band making music right now. Can't wait to see them again in a few months.
This is just kind of a general list of what I need to get finished within the next few weeks. It's pretty much just for myself so I don't forget, but feel free to make suggestions and whatnot.

Last night I had one of the most ridiculous events of my entire life take place.
Here's what went down: I got off work around 2am. My friends Kasey and Brenna came to see me, and we were all sitting in the parking lot, hanging out and talking and not being obnoxious. All of the sudden, a wadded up Arby's bag full of trash comes flying over the top of Brenna's car and lands right in front of Kasey.
None of us had any idea what was going on until we saw the car that had pulled up on the opposite side of Brenna's car that we were on. The dude driving starts shouting at us, though we can't really understand him. Finall I hear him say something like "get back in your car right now!" or something along those lines, so I stand up to see what his deal was.
Here's an (probably inaccurate) description of the dialogue that followed:
Me: Excuse me? What's do you have a problem?
Dude: Get back in your car right now!
Me: What? What the fuck is your problem?
Dude: Get the fuck back in your car right now or I'll come over there and beat the shit out of you!
Me: Excuse me?! What the fuck is your problem?!
Then the dude pulls a gun.
Dude: Get the FUCK back in your car or I'll fucking pull the trigger.
I, being obviously a little bit in shock, kind of stood there for a second and stared at him.
Dude: I said I'll fucking shoot you if you don't get the fuck back in your car!
So I went and sat back down. Then he drove off.
None of us could honestly believe what had just happened. Basically, some completely random dude was totally unprovoked and he almost shot me. On the north side of town. In an Arby's parking lot. I don't believe it either.
Afterwards, we realized that we should have tried to get a better look at the dude, or at least his car. All we remembered was this: the car was dark-colored and a two door; the dude that pulled the gun was a little bit bigger, there was a chick in the front seat next to him, and another dude in the back (neither of them did anything, save for stare at me the whole time). So, I guess the moral of this story is to not hang out in the Arby's parking lot late at night. And when someone tell you to get the fuck back in your car, you get the fuck back in your car.
I don't understand how people actually believe that this shit is real. I had to turn my phone off because people won't stop calling me.
My mom called the cops. I can't wait to beat some ass when I find out who this is.
This is probably the strangest thing that's ever happened to me.
Today in class I get three or four calls from numbers I don't know..then another one texts me and asks if "the BluRay player plays DVDs and Netflix."
Obviously I had no idea what he was talking about, and he proceeded to tell me about an ad on Craigslist for a cheap BluRay player, which apparently listed my number as the contact number.
I have never used Craigslist in my life.
After class, I listened to the voicemails, and it turns out it listed my first name as well. So whoever posted the ad knew who I was and had my phone number.
That was about four hours ago, and since then I've gotten a few more texts and about 20 more phone calls. I sent an angry email to Craigslist, but they just keep coming.
The best part about this whole situation, though, was my mom's response..her first question was "Who do you think it was? Do you think it might have been a girl that's mad at you and trying to get you back?"
I'm on the hunt for a copy of New Found Glory's album "Nothing Gold Can Stay". It was originally released by Eulogy Recordings in 1999 and only 400 copies were made before it was re-released by Drive-Thru. I'm looking for one of the original copies. If you have any info, message me!
I start school tomorrow. I'm really looking forward to this semester, mostly because I don't have any sort of Math or English class to worry about. I'm only taking 15 hours this semester, though technically it's 17 or 18 because one of my classes counts for full credit and it's only a day two thing. Which is totally awesome.
I'm also considering adding a major in fine/commercial art (focus in drawing) just because I feel like I would get bored with Graphic Design and it would limit me creatively..plus my tattoo artist was talking to me about it and he says that the graphic design market is oversaturated (already too many people working) and the pay sucks (average $10/hour). So I'm debating whether I should major in one and minor in the other, completely drop one, or double major (most likely). We'll see.
I'm pissed off right now because this girl I used to 'talk' to a few weeks ago is dating someone else now. Normally that wouldn't bother me, but she broke it off with me because she was still in love with her ex and couldn't seem to get over him. This was only a couple weeks ago, so she must've moved on pretty quickly. Bitch.
Speaking of girls, and I find this hilarious, this was one of my facebook notifications today:
I guess I still got it
Aaaaaaand lastly, my art update. I started this project over the summer, stopped during school because I just didn't have enough time to work on it at all. I had everything drawn out, and I've spent my free time the last few days over-using my xacto knife. I won't finish tonight, but hopefully by the end of the week. I know it looks lame and boring, but I'm not even halfway done. It'll be a lot more interesting when it's done, trust me.
This is finally fucking done..I've been working on it all day, and I'm so happy that I'm done and get to go to bed now.
I'll just post my Top 30 here, if you want more, go here: http://www.facebook.com/note.php?sav...229 380322866

So it's finally finished. This stupid still life I've been working on [kind of] for the past month off and on. When it was due, it wasn't even done. So I turned it in and ended up still getting a 93% on it, so it's all good. I just finished and matted it the other day and it looks alright. I actually think it looked a lot better before it was finished. But oh well.
My lava lamp self-portrait is coming along nicely, and I'm excited to see how it turns out. Should be interesting. Now, I've got an entire design project to start and finish tonight, so I best get working.
I've decided to take a cue [bad pun intended] from my good friend CueTheSun and begin posting some of my current artwork here in my blog..I'm nowhere near as creative as my buddy, but hopefully I'll be able to get some feedback.
This here is the result of an assignment for my 2D design class to create a 'creative' color wheel [that's me!]
This is a still life I've been working on for over week that I'm really starting to get tired of. It's supposed to be due tomorrow, but I'm not really seeing that happening.
My next [and last!] assignment for my drawing class is to draw a self portrait. On a lava lamp.
Today is not good..I decided to stay up late last night to watch Forgetting Sarah Marshall, which was really funny and Mila Kunis is absolutely gorgeous, but I didn't get to bed until 5 because of it. Fuck.
I tried to take my online calculus test earlier, and I just couldn't do it. I don't remember how to do anything. Fuck.
I got called into work a little bit ago..I get to work third shift tonight. Fuck.
And I started thinking about my AOTY list. I made a list of all the potentials, and damn it's long.

No particular order, just typed it up as I thought of them.
The only thing keeping my sane right now is The Dangerous Summer.
So I'm sitting here listening to fun. for the first time in my life.
And it's just perfect.
I've heard of them before, and I know a little about them..but I've never really listened to them before now.
I had never really gotten into The Format before [other than Love It When You Call..great song] due to me being introduced to good music a little later than would have been preferred [but that's a whole 'nother blog..], so I really didn't know what to expect..but I had heard many good things about Aim & Ignite, and I needed a break from all the SYG, FYS, and NFG I've been listening to lately, so I decided to listen to [coughdownloadcough] the album.
I still don't know how to describe it..it's just so GOOD!
Sure, it's pop music, but it's so much more than that. The melodies are so much more complex and, well, melodic than anything I have ever heard before. And the lyrics are just fantastic.
I dunno what to classify it as though..like I said, it's pop music, but that tag just has so many negative connotations to it..I've heard it called circus pop before I think, but I tend to associate that with something like A Fever You Can't SweatOut and it just doesn't sound like that really..it reminds me a lot of the artist Mika, but I wouldn't really know what to call him either..it's like flamboyant indie circus pop..
I cannot find anything wrong with this record..besides the fact that it's a little hard to digest. I'm going to need to listen to this a few more times to actually hear everything.
