Paper Walls

Back in the summer of '07, I debated getting either Underclass Hero by Sum 41 or Paper Walls by Yellowcard. As much as I loved Yellowcard and Ocean Avenue, I remember listening to Lights and Sounds and being somehwat disappointed. I chose Underclass Hero and now, 2 years later and almost to the day when I originally got that album, that was one of the worst purchases I had gotten up to that point. When I got Underclass Hero, I found myself skipping every other song and hugely disappointed, then 3 months later, when I had the money to buy Paper Walls, I realized that is one of the most complete albums I have ever listened to. Every song related to me and I kept repeating some songs even before I heard the whole album. Then in May '08, I heard that Yellowcard was on hiatus and to this day, they still are. To be honest, I was sad at that point when I heard the news because their music is my favorite kind and that record was so big on me. Flash forward to a couple of nights ago and I saw that Ryan Key, the lead singer and guitarist from Yellowcard, is in a side project for the time called Big If. When I listened to the songs, I found that same type of music that was in Paper Walls and Yellowcard throughout. In conclusion of this entry, in my opinion, Paper Walls is one of the best albums I have ever heard and is one of the best of the decade. I hope one day Yellowcard can get back together and I won't pass up another Yellowcard album ever again.

If you want to check out Big If, go to their Myspace profile. Trust me, if you are a Yellowcard fan, you won't be disappointed.

Hello again. I have to admit, I am having a lot of fun on this website. Okay, so I want to make clear of this: I am in a band and this entry's purpose is to seek help. My band currently is unnamed at the time of this post and I would like you to help me out. I have some suggestions, but I would like to hear some suggestions from you. The names I have are (these are the best I can come up with. I am not that creative when it comes to band names, but if I list a name that is already taken, I am sorry, I obviously have no knowledge of that band.) Nite Lite, The Manual, The Astheniacs and The Scabs (I mean people that take over people's jobs, not an actual scab). Instead of hearing that sucks or criticisms, I want to hear what you have to offer. I don't have anything against funny names as well, so suggestion are welcome! Thank you.

Hello, intraweb! This is my first of probably many posts. So I hope you join me in my stupid comments, jokes, thoughts on life, video posts, band recommendations (hopefully mine) and so on. You can follow me on twitter as well (follow jtresk) and that will also be a breeding ground of my music and other things. So stay tuned for updates ahead.
