So, I went to see NOFX and Coheed. Two great days.
Driving to St.Louis was a pain in the ass, 5 long hours with Kara. We listened to music the whole way there, took about 2-3 stops to pee and buy drinks.
I for got who played with NOFX but I liked them all :).
Coheed with Angela was fun. Minous the long drive.
OOH, Angels and Airwaves was awesome too! I was real bitter before everything but I knew that once the show was around the time, I'd get pumped and shit. Got to see them at soundcheck, got a free signed poster. I wish I coulda met them though.
Modlife...I grew tired and annoyed of them. Yuck.
anyways, July is the next month that I have shows to go to. WARPED TOUR.
Doubt June will have something. -shrugs-. idk. All the past shows we're amazing.
2/28/10 I saw ALK3 at the Metro, the 2nd night of the tour for Chicago [they did two nights here and I sadly only went one night] and it was by far fucking AMAZING. and I mean AMAZING. They played an awesome set list which I think I'll post. and I got to meet them all. [I've met Dan before but all 3 in one night...ahh]
fucking awesome. They're such awesome and genuine people. Totally fucked myself with the whole "Reaper" thing though, fuck fuck fuck.
3/5/10 I saw NFG at the HOB and they we're SOOO fucking amazing. [can I stress it enough?] their whole set was amazing and I sang along every fucking time. The energy was just awesome. I lost my phone..because the bitch who had it doesn't know how to look. so, I lost my chances...and my friend's chances of gettin to hang out with them. I suck.
idk what else to say. here's the set list for Trio [NOT in order]:
-My friend Peter.
-Snake Oil Tanker.
-We've Had Enough.
-One Hundred Stories.
-Dine, Dine My Darling.
-Dead On The Floor.
-Attitude - by the Misfits.
amazing amazing amazing.
Me, Matt, and Kara.
Me, Derek and Kara.
Kara and Dan and me in the back. [haha!]
Me and Kara with 3/5's of "Dear & Departed". Recognize the dude I'm next to? YOU SHOULD! He's Dan Smith from L.A INK. Kat Von D's friend. Jealous? You should be. [be more jealous because I met Trio!]
Nfg's set list was [NOT in order]:
-The whole self-titled album.
-All Downhill From Here.
-Hold My Hand.
-Don't Let Her Pull You Down.
-Truck Stop Blues.
-My Friends Over You.
I'm PRETTY sure that's it. It seemed to short in my opinion.
"I was hanging out at the show
feeling like a fat potato
I don't know what I'm doing here
I saw her at the door and
she looked as bored as me
so I got her in
I put her on the guest list
at the show and now I get
to watch her dance like
the other weirdos do
I saw she brought a camera
She did the groin-o-rama and
we were really having fun
I told her I was the lead singer
I felt like Harvey Klinger and
then she smacked me in the head"
This song makes my heart warm.
My Macbeths are in Hodgkins IL, so they should get here either today or tomorrow. STOKED.
Being on a/the guest list feels amazing. Makes you feel like you're someone important.
I never had that feeling til I was put on the guest lists hundreds of times. Urgh.
Here's a video. It's fits. and I've been in the biggest fuckin Screeching Weasel mood ever.
[that and Bounceing Souls] :D
whooooa wtf! I never noticed the side pannel with the "mood" and "currently playing", fucking cool!
I'd also like to point out, in the video, that was at the Congress here in Chicago and I wanted to go so fuckin bad but I didn't have money at time.
