I just watched "The Runaways" and I must say, it was really good. It was decent, it got me ina big Joan Jett mood and it caused me to think about my dad.
I miss him a lot. He's the one who introduced me into Joan Jett and the blackhearts. Telling me that I should listen to her because she is a girl. I don't disagree at all. She is wonderful.
That film made me learn a lot. I thought I knew a good handful or two on her and the background. WRONG.
I worked yesterday from 5-10.
Worked today 6-10, you know, the usual.
I'm off tomorrow, thank God. and I plan on hanging with Izzy and helping him pack, then hang with my sister and niece and go see"Mega mind" HAHA.
I work wednesday and Thanksgiving. We close early.
Then I work Friday and Saturday. INSANE.
I hope with this check, I can go Sunday to the House of Blues to see Ace in ICMAM. I am praying to God it doesn't sell out before Friday. -shakes fist-
November does this to me, I swear. I have to get tabs now, seriously.
So, I went to see NOFX and Coheed. Two great days.
Driving to St.Louis was a pain in the ass, 5 long hours with Kara. We listened to music the whole way there, took about 2-3 stops to pee and buy drinks.
I for got who played with NOFX but I liked them all :).
Coheed with Angela was fun. Minous the long drive.
OOH, Angels and Airwaves was awesome too! I was real bitter before everything but I knew that once the show was around the time, I'd get pumped and shit. Got to see them at soundcheck, got a free signed poster. I wish I coulda met them though.
Modlife...I grew tired and annoyed of them. Yuck.

2/28/10 I saw ALK3 at the Metro, the 2nd night of the tour for Chicago [they did two nights here and I sadly only went one night] and it was by far fucking AMAZING. and I mean AMAZING. 3/5/10 I saw NFG at the HOB and they we're SOOO fucking amazing. [can I stress it enough?] their whole set was amazing and I sang along every fucking time. The energy was just awesome. "I was hanging out at the show
feeling like a fat potato
I don't know what I'm doing here
I saw her at the door and
she looked as bored as me
so I got her in
I put her on the guest list
at the show and now I get
to watch her dance like
the other weirdos do
I saw she brought a camera
She did the groin-o-rama and
we were really having fun
I told her I was the lead singer
I felt like Harvey Klinger and
then she smacked me in the head"
This song makes my heart warm.
My Macbeths are in Hodgkins IL, so they should get here either today or tomorrow. STOKED.
Being on a/the guest list feels amazing. Makes you feel like you're someone important.
I never had that feeling til I was put on the guest lists hundreds of times. Urgh.
Here's a video. It's fits. and I've been in the biggest fuckin Screeching Weasel mood ever.
[that and Bounceing Souls] :D
whooooa wtf! I never noticed the side pannel with the "mood" and "currently playing", fucking cool!
I'd also like to point out, in the video, that was at the Congress here in Chicago and I wanted to go so fuckin bad but I didn't have money at time.
