Festival News
Sonisphere Festival has announced a new batch of bands. Announced this week were: Four Year Strong, The Mars Volta, Opeth, Killing Joke, The Black Dahlia Murder, Black Tide, Rise To Remain, Alestorm, The Treatment, Six Hour Sundown, Firewind and Watain.

Funeral For A Friend, The Darkness, Kvelertak, Framing Hanley, Hyro Da Hero and Plain White T's have all been added to the line-up for the Download Festival.

The first line-up announcement for this year's Reading and Leeds Festivals will be made on Monday at 7:15pm on Zane Lowe's Radio 1 show.

Ghostfest has announced that Bury Tomorrow, TRC, Brutality Will Prevail, More Than Life, Basement and Bays will all play the Leeds-based festival in June.

The Dot To Dot Festival has announced a clutch of new bands. Added to the festival this week were: ...And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of The Dead, The Joy Formidable, SBTRKT, Benjamin Francis Leftwich, Cults, Ben Howard, Wolf Gang, Alpines, Blawan, Dom and Royal Republic.

Pearl And The Puppets and Two Spot Gobi have been added to the line-up for this year's RedFest, which will be staged on the 22nd and 23rd of July in Surrey.

Architects
and The Dillinger Escape Plan will headline the Saturday of this year's Hevy Festival. The other bands included in the first line-up announcement for the August festival are: Man Overboard, Bouncing Souls, We Are The Ocean, Zebrahead, Capdown, Ceremony, Polar Bear Club, Your Demise, Rise To Remain, Touche Amore, La Dispute, November Coming Fire, Awaken Demons, Lemuria, Brutality Will Prevail, Spycatcher, Death Is Not Glamorous, Rot In Hell, Polar, Cheap Girls, Heart In Hand, Hang The Bastard and Hildamay.

The full line-up for Ireland's Oxegen Festival has been announced, and features: Foo Fighters, Coldplay, Arctic Monkeys, The Strokes, The National, Brandon Flowers, Plan B, My Chemical Romance, Beady Eye, Pendulum, Chase And Status, Weezer, Two Door Cinema Club, Bright Eyes, Leftfield, Friendly Fires, Primal Scream, Jimmy Eat World, House Of Pain, The Vaccines, All Time Low, Mona, The Minutes and Madisun.

The first Ghostfest 2011 line-up announcement can be found here. So far, Suicide Silence, Your Demise, Deez Nuts, Annotations Of An Autopsy, Heights, Ingested, Last Witness, Against The Flood and Polar have all been confirmed for the event, which will take place on the 25th and 26th of June at Leeds University.

Dance Gavin Dance, A Loss For Words and This Time Next Year have been added to this year's Slam Dunk Festival.

Skunk Anansie have been added to the line-up for the Download Festival.

, Hit The Lights, Francesqa and Tek-One have been added to this year's Slam Dunk Festival in Leeds and Hatfield. Dates and line-ups for the series of Slam Dunk shows, featuring some of the festival acts, can be seen below.

You Me At Six
, All Time Low, Sum 41, House Of Pain, Arch Enemy, Grinspoon, Periphery and Fozzy have been added to the line-up for this year's Sonisphere Festival.

A whole host of new bands have been added to the 200 Trees Festival. Danny and the Champions of the World, Zun Zun Egui, Jim Lockey & The Solemn Sun, The Anomalies, We The Undersigned, Sucioperro, Chickenhawk, Bo Ningen, Invasion, &U&I, Witchsorrow, The Me! Me! Mes?, The Echoes, Fighting Fiction, Scoundrels, Left With Pictures, Falcons, The Retrospective Soundtrack Players, Ben Marwood, Charlie Barnes, The Yuya and Midnight Mile will all play the festival, which runs from the 14th-16th of July on Upcote Farm, Gloucestershire.

Versaemerge, The Pretty Reckless, Your Demise, Puddle Of Mudd, Times of Grace, Suicide Silence and Evile will play this year's Download Festival.

The line-up for the Liverpool Sound City-sponsored stage at this year's HUB Festival has been announced. The Blackout and Funeral For A Friend will headline the two days, while completing the line-up are: Mayday Parade, Young Guns, Francesqa, The King Blues, We Are The In Crowd, We Are The Ocean, Chickenhawk, Don Broco, Fine Young Firecrackers, For Eyes, Decade, In Casino Out, Driven Overboard and Candidate 23.

Meanwhile, more acts have been added to the line-up for the actual Liverpool Sound City event, including: Frank Turner, Lower Than Atlantis, Funeral Party, Mona, Steve Mason, Yuck, Three Trapped Tigers, The Chapman Family, Veronica Falls, Zeus, Niki & The Dove and Worriedaboutsatan.

Devil Sold His Soul
, While She Sleeps, Sylosis, Bleed From Within, Turbowolf, LightsGoBlue, Tomorrow Brings Giants and Rio have been added to the line-up for the Hit The Deck Festival in Nottingham.

Def Leppard have been announced as the third and final headliner of the Download Festival. Other bands to have been added to the line-up this week are Bring Me The Horizon, Frank Turner, Asking Alexandria, Madina Lake, The King Blues, Turisas, All The Remains, Sacred Mother Tongue, Bowling For Soup, Devil Wears Prada, Cheap Trick, Straight Line Stitch, Disturbed and Black Stone Cherry.

Eight new bands have been added to the line-up for the Slam Dunk Festival in Leeds and Hatfield. The latest bands to be added are: Goldfinger, Anti-Flag, The Skints, A Rocket To The Moon, We Are The In Crowd, Decade and Innerpartysystem.

A glut of acts have been added to June's Rockness 2011 Festival near Inverness, Scotland. Glasvegas, The Wombats, Two Door Cinema Club, Magnetic Man, DJ Shadow, The Cribs, We Are Scientists, Frightened Rabbit, Example, Katy B, Simian Mobile Disco, Mark Ronson and Boys Noize have all been added to the event, which takes place on the banks of Loch Ness.

The first group of bands to play this year's Slam Dunk Festivals have been announced. The Starting Line, Less Than Jake, Reel Big Fish, We Are The Ocean, Mayday Parade, Framing Hanley, Deaf Havana, MC Lars and 3OH!3 are set to play the dates on the 28th and 29th of May at the Leeds and Hertfordshire Universities respectively.

Limp Bizkit
, Gallows, Kids In Glass Houses, One Minute Silence, Volbeat, Gojira, InMe and Darkest Hour have all been added to the line-up for the Sonisphere Festival in July.

My Chemical Romance
look set to headline either the Download Festival or the Reading and Leeds Festivals after confirming that they will headline a UK festival this summer.

Hang Tight Records, the label physically releasing Next Stop Atlanta‘s eponymous debut EP, have announced that the first 100 people to pre-order the CD will receive a bonus CD featuring the video for new single ‘I’ll Catch Fire (The Gift)’ and an exclusive acoustic version of new song ‘Always With The Drama’. The EP can be pre-ordered from the Hang Tight Records store here and is set to be released on the 14th of February.

Parkway Drive have pulled out of their Sheffield support slot with Bring Me The Horizon on the 4th of May. While She Sleeps will play the show instead. All other dates will feature Parkway Drive.
