I've repeatedly stated my discontent by how high some albums have been reviewed lately here (mainly by Joe Deandrea). Today I went back to look at some old reviews and I rediscovered Jason's review of TSL's "Based On a True Story". This is one of my favorite albums of all time and I think many would agree that it's one of the most original and exciting "pop punk" albums of the genre. Jason wrote a beautiful review and the score was an 83%. Maybe a little low but still fair. Are these new albums from The Cab, Simple Plan, and Owl City really better or close to BOATS?
