Right, here we go. I make these lists every year for my personal amusement but this is my first on AbsolutePunk. First up is my favourite songs of this year. Let's do this!
Biffy Clyro - Opposites (January 28th)
Have loved this Scottish band for years, this double album will be their 6th. Tegan and Sara - Heartthrob (January 29th)
From the first single "Closer", this album seems like it will be a slick, electronic twist on the classic T&S formula. Foals - Holy Fire (February 11th)
These guys keep getting better with every release, with their last album, "Total Life Forever", being a personal favourite of 2010. Frightened Rabbit - Pedestrian Verse (February 4th)
Another Scottish band and the masters of catchy folk rock, I have a feeling that this one will be their masterpiece. Everything Everything - Arc (January 14th)
This group do everything different, an extremely versatile first album gives me high expectations for this, their sophomore release. The Joy Formidable - Wolf's Law (January 21st)
A crushing rock group fronted by a girl, this album will be intense for all the right reasons. FIDLAR - FIDLAR (February 4th)
This will be the ultimate album to trash stuff to for 2013. RILY hanging out with friends and drinking cheap beer. Darwin Deez - Songs For Imaginative People (February 11th)
I can see this album being more of the same sort of stuff as his self titled debut offered, but what an album that was.
