30,000 feet high but ive never felt so down
Looking out the window at the remains of your town
My heart sinks deeper than i think its ever been
Every second puts more distance between you and me
Though nothing will make up for all the time we've lost
Every moment im with you just isnt long enough
I cherish every minute that i share in your life
I'll hold these memories close to me until the day i die
I love you so much, i'd do anything for you
I'd give you all of my breath until i turned blue
A hug goodbye aswell as one for everytime you cry
I'd wipe away those tears, until your eyes were dry
When will i see you again, i have no idea
These words are my prayer for you, i hope you can hear
And when things seem like they cant get any worse

When one little photograph brings it all back
It feels like my heart has come under attack
So many years fighting it all amount to naught
Coz I've just landed right back where i started from
My heart is so fragile and so easily broken
But yet i have placed it in your clumsy hands again
You would have thought id learned my lesson oh so long ago
But it seems that i just can not give up hope
I cant believe the power you still hold over me
Without even trying you have brought me to my knees
As strong as i have grown you are still my kryptonite

Heartache, pain and sorrow, is all that i feel now
But when i saw you smile, i forgot it all somehow
You've always meant more to me than you've ever known
but i've only just realised, how deep those feelings go
I wish i knew how to get you to notice me
Im just a face in the background, nothing more really
But oh how i long to be something more than that
To at least be your friend, and perhaps your confidant
A farmville gift here and there, but lately a lot more
Is my pathetic way to show that you are in my thoughts
I wonder if you'll ever notice and realise the truth
That to me you are an angel who has landed here on earth | |

Photographs are time machines, a window to the past
They'll take you where you want to go if given half the chance
But sometimes where you end up is not where you want to be
Just like the water of a dam thats suddenly set free
Photographs are memories for all the world to see
My absence is testament to my scarred physche
And while there may be smiles on the faces of my friends
All that i can see, is sorrow and regret | |
