| | First Thoughts: Blessed By A Broken Heart -- "Feel The Power" [Jan.24t |
It's been awhile since Blessed By A Broken Heart put out a record, so naturally alot of people don't know who they are. Blessed has been on multiple tours in Japan, U.K., and the U.S. with artists such as Bring Me The Horizon, A Day To Remember, Architects (UK), and many more; they've also established a gigantic Japanese fan base, often putting them on bills with acts like Megadeth, Hatebreed, Slayer, etc. Guitarist Sean Maier has previously filled in with bands such as Into Eternity.
"Feel The Power" is the groups follow up to 2008's "Pedal To the Metal" [Century Media], and boy do they have alot to bring to the table.
Blessed has stepped their game up clear across the board, no doubt about it. Vocalist Tony Gambino's contributions are more crisp and power than before; listeners will have no qualms about not understanding lyrics. Easily one of the most talented guitarists in the scene, Sean Maier, also known as "Shred Sean", lives up to his title once again and delivers once again an electric collection of blistering guitar solos. A new addition to the band, rhythm guitarist Sam Ryder steps up to the plate and chalks up nothing but riffs that'll make you move your feet, and not in the typical "breakdown, kick someone in the face" type of way. Longtime bassist Tyler Hoare's consistency is evident throughout the entire album, providing a good backbone for the rest of the band. The drummer affectionately known as "Slater" rounds out Blessed's powerful assault on your ears.
Don't hesitate to pre-order Blessed's new album, "Feel The Power", out January 24th, on Tooth and Nail Records.
