I was going to make an end of year list but I honestly was counting on the world ending. It didn't so here I am shame faced with no list. But the good news is The Ataris are heading to Asia in a few days and we are also hitting Europe in April.

Our tour has officially come to an end. We started in July and here we are at the end of November. We have played just about every state. We even did a week in Canada and a show in Monterrey, MX. I wish we could have made it to Alaska on this tour maybe next time. The tour was amazing great times with better friends. I couldn't ask for a better bunch of people to spend all that time with. Thanks to Louis of Gasoline Heart and all the guys in Don't Panic it was a blast! I can't wait to do it again.
The tour ended in Atlanta at The Earl. The show was pretty good. The electricity went out before the show started and came back on about 45 minutea later. As we were packing up after the set the electricity went out again. Of course it came back on after we loaded everything out.
Looks like we are going to be home until Soundwave. So if any bands are interested in recording I will be home for a while. I have very low rates and I'm easy to work with. Hit me up at Bryan@atthegallows.com let's make some music!
For those of you who celebrate Thanksgiving have a safe holiday.
I really don't like too many bands that are coming out these days. I hate the ego stairs and swooping hair but I deal with it. We constantly get these bands opening for us. But I have recently discovered Polar Bear Club. Now I realize these guys have been around for a while but they are new to me. I really dig the "Chasing Hamburg" album and I think the title track is great. They remind me of a heavier, more gritty version of Pollen which I can totally dig on.
We are 90 shows deep in this tour we have 9 shows to go and I am sick for the first time on this tour. Everyone else has been sick already. So I will end this here.
If we are coming to your area I hope to see you at the show.
Is fighting with other bands on the internet the new way of promoting your band? It seems that everyone is fighting via twitter or interviews. I must be going about things all wrong. I started an argument with someone in a news thread.(not even purposely) Maybe I should find a band that I don't like and start a feud. The problem is that list is so long I don't know where to start. I guess I would pick the biggest band that would take the time to care. Maybe it would be fun. Let's burn some bridges! Why not?
We have added more dates in November. Check them out.

I Turned into a Martian
Skulls
Hybrid Moments
Halloween (obviously)
Last Caress
Where Eagles Dare
Astro Zombies
It was all kinds of fun. We play London, ON tomorrow then we head back to the states to finish up the next few weeks.
We are in Canada right now. Specifically Burlington, ON and we are playing Toronto, ON at The Rock Pile for Halloween. I think that I have been home four days since the beginning of July but not consecutively. We are out until Thanksgiving and then we have a couple months off. We played Montreal a couple nights ago, acquired a street sign, knocked over a bunch of road cones and ran across the interstate. It's funny that we are more well behaved when we are in the states.

This tour has been pretty fantastic with great friends and great bands.
The only downside is it's almost over. Don't Panic are only with us through Texas. Then we are in the home stretch. We are pretty lucky to have a few days off in Hawaii. It will be a nice vacation. After that we have a couple weeks off then we play the northeast and Canada. I have to say I am really looking forward to Canada.
We are playing the 2011 Soundwave in Australia. I wish that some of last years lineup were playing but we still get Iron Maiden and Slayer. So I guess I can't complain too much.
Kris a has a few more songs he wants to record before finishing the album. Hopefully in the new year that will happen. There was a skip in the test pressing of our 7" so we are still waiting on that.
That's all for now. We are supposed to play Monterrey, Mexico in a few days. If we come back alive I will post a new entry.
So the tour has been pretty great so far. We have had our van breakdown twice but what can you do. Gasoline Heart is amazing. Louis has been playing the tour solo and we have been backing him on a few songs and it's been all kinds of fun.
Tonight we played Seattle and had a couple special guests come out. They Donkey Kong master himself Steve Wiebe came out and played drums on "Boys of Summer". If you haven't seen the documentary "King of Kong" check it out. He is one of the nicest people I have ever met. We also played an MxPx tune with Mike Herrera it was a dream come true for Aaron. Overall one of the best nights I've had in a longtime.
We will be meeting up with our good friends Don't Panic soon too. I can't wait to hang with those guys.
Thanks to everyone who has been coming out to the shows and making it a great time.
