Really, I met Terry O'Quinn, who - and here's a little fact for your thought bank - owns a home in Reisterstown, MD, which is about 20 minutes away from where I am now. I heard that he had previously ventured into other Baltimore area Starbucks from fellow employees, but FUCK, I was lucky today.
He came into my store are 11 a.m. and ordered a Venti Misto (half coffee, half steamed milk). I introduced myself, of course, took his order and money, and galloped around the store as though I had just met a Backstreet Boy. I must've been blushing so hard. No, I KNOW I was blushing so hard because I was shaking for the next half-hour. I've been trying not to imagine what I would do if Matthew Fox had walked in.
True story. My co-worker took pictures. So yeah, pics and it did happen.
The lessons I learned today are:
1) Most older folk have no idea who the characters on LOST are, so try no to look so creepy when fawning over an older balding man in the middle of your work day.
2) I do not know how to handle myself around celebrities.
3) John Locke has soft hands.
