Codes and Keys has been one of the most anticipated records around here throughout 2011. Simply put, it's definitely worth the wait - every day of waiting, at that. I'm definitely getting some Brandon Flowers vibes throughout a lot of the tracks. Parts of the record channel Plans, while other reminisce the best parts of Narrow Stairs stretched to their limits.
I'll save the rest for my reviews, but Codes and Keys is a record worth the wait. It's a record that will take many listens to truly understand and love, as the layering is a fundamental attribute to the record. Death Cab For Cutie are more experiential than ever this time around.
Be sure to check out my review next week, and the record drops the 31st of Atlantic Records.
