| Getting Past the Industry to Love Music Again
| | Amazon MP3 v. iTunes |
I don't really have a lot to talk about this week. Besides the fact that I found out my jeans are restricting my future generations, I've also come to a decision.
I believe Amazon MP3 is better than iTunes, especially with this monthly deal, and the weekly specials that occur.
I think with the road to digital mediums, Amazon MP3 is running the best bargain bin, giving consumers with a clear conscious initiative over downloading music illegally.
Unlike most store bargain bins, the monthly 50 for $5 deal contains both classic and contemporary albums.
Amazon is on the right track with compromising and giving proper incentive to consumers to make the right decision and come out ahead. | | Tags: Digital, Distribution, Amazon, iTunes |

| | Could iTunes DRM-Free Still Not Be Safe? |
Here lies the problem of intent to distribute and flimsy evidence. In a source found today, it seems that it is possible that the RIAA can still track you using your iTunes account's e-mail address if your files get out there.
Should we worry, or should we not? What does this have to do with legal suits that are supposedly not going to happen as opposed to shutting down ISPs?
I'd love to hear your thoughts, or see this on the front page? Maybe there's no worries. | | Tags: RIAA, iTunes, Apple, DRM |

| | iTunes to Drop Prices and DRM |
Many have reported today that iTunes is looking to drop DRM and possibly lower prices to 69 cents on some songs. Headline News reported that the price drop depends on individual record labels.
I don't know if a 69 cent drop per singles will bleed into other digital retailers such as Amazon MP3, but the DRM-free application is a definite way to convert and compete. | | Tags: iTunes, DRM, Digital Sales |
