Honestly, I'm not the biggest fan of hip-hop - at all. Last year MBDTF was indeed my album of the year, but it's also the only rap album that has really hit me that hard. I normally prefer pop-punk or hardcore/metal music, but this year Sims' Bad Time Zoo and now Lupe Fiasco's Lasers have been very enjoyable. The former is this year's Never Better, while the latter is simply an enjoyable radio-rap record. If you haven't checked Lasers out yet, I suggest you give it a listen; if nothing else, at least a few of the tracks will appeal to you. |
