I've been asked a few times about my thoughts on the final episode of Scrubs. I think most people know I'm a pretty big fan of the show (and still watched when it started sucking a few seasons ago) ... the first 4 seasons will always mean a lot to me. It was a comforting show to watch and laugh and just enjoy. I am sure the DVDs will remain in consistent rotation around my house.
I was very, very pleased with the final episode - I thought it ended the series perfectly. It's hard to not get choked up watching the final montage. I think we all have visions of our future .. and it's up to us to make them come true. I know recently I've been reflecting on this idea more and more.
"Relationships don't work the way they do on television and in the movies. Will they? Won't they? And then they finally do, and they're happy forever. Gimme a break. Nine out of ten of them end because they weren't right for each other to begin with, and half of the ones who get married get divorced anyway, and I'm telling you right now, through all this stuff I have not become a cynic. I haven't. Yes, I do happen to believe that love is mainly about pushing chocolate covered candies and, y'know, in some cultures, a chicken. You can call me a sucker, I don't care, because I do believe in it. Bottom line is: it's couples who are truly right for each other wade through the same crap as everybody else, but the big difference is they don't let it take them down. One of those two people will stand up and fight for that relationship every time. If it's right, and they're real lucky, one of them will say something." - Dr. Cox.
Scrubs (one of my favorite shows) starts back up tonight. So far everyone in the official thread seem to love it -- I hope it can get back on track. The past few seasons have sorta sucked - and if it can turn around, then I have faith The Office isn't dead.
I'm almost done with watching Season 3 of House before bed each night. While I wait for the next few discs of Dexter to show up from Netflix I'm trying to decide if I want to start on my Scrubs collection or The Office next. Hmmmmm... I don't remember which I watched last.
Scrubswill return. I'm just glad it will get a proper send off - then it will live on forever in my DVD collection. I've been re-watching the entire series (so far) of House before bed lately. Something to keep my mind occupied so I stop thinking about all I need to do on the website. Once that's over - I may re-start watching all of Scrubs from the start. Yep, I'm a dork.
