Genesis of HD Like sands through the hour glass, so was Haulover Drive. H.D. was destined to go straight to the top. The connection was almost dynamic the moment they joined forces. After the first session the sparks flew and a new rock monster was born. Haulover Drive exploded on the scene with as much energy and fierceness of a supernova almost instantly. H.D. has already created quite a stir within the local music scene. It all started with Alex Corralles, the lead vocalist for the band. With a passion for singing and songwriting from an early age, he always felt the urge to one day lead a life of tour busses and album covers. his luck was about to shift when he met an aspiring guitarist with a genuine desire to have his creative mind be heard. Zack Smith, also testing the waters with his own band at the time, had a pop-rock influence which Alex thought would be an interesting sound with his already existing taste in Alternative style lyrics. They began to express their equal, for lack of a better word, want, to truly become real musicians. After letting their creative juices flow, they had little idea of the greatness that will one day be called Haulover Drive. Being only a duo, they knew they needed to complete the ensemble. Low and behold their prayers were answered with their second guitarist, David Abad. Being the oldest of the bunch, David was the veteran. Knowing what its’ like to manage a band and launch them to stardom, Not to mention his genius yet subtle guitar melodies which meshed beautifully together with the already evolving sound of a young Haulover Drive. Just when they thought they couldn’t get any better lady luck smiled on them once again with a bassist named Sean Acosta, and balls to the wall drummer, Raymond Leon.
