Haha. Let me know if you try any of those places and dig it. I'm no expert, but that's what little you can glean from my experience. Haha.

As far as restaurants, my favorite in all of Boston is Le's. Vietnamese food. There's one on Comm Ave up past BU near Harper's Ferry and there's one in Harvard Sq. Also Noodle St. (on Comm Ave at BU just outside Kenmore Sq.) has amazing Pad Thai. In Harvard Sq. there's a tea shop called TeaLuxe, a frozen yogurt joint called Berryline, and a burger place called Mr. Bartley's Burger Cottage all of which are must-go's. And for late night drunken adventures Spikes hots dogs on Boylston (not too far from you, I think) is open til 3 and always full and the South Street diner (a pretty solid walk or cab across town) is the only place in Boston open all night. And for a hangover Sunday morning breakfast, The Pour House across from the Prudential Center is awesome. And if you have a fake, the Sunset Grill has like 120 beers on tap, and even if you don't they have bomb sweet potato fries. Haha. And at some point, go to the north end and get real Italian food and gelato.

For concerts, keep your eye on shows at Harper's Ferry or the Paradise. Both relatively intimate venues that won't rob your wallet like a house of blues show.

Culture-wise the Science Museum and Aquarium are pretty rad, if a bit expensive for what you get. The MFA you can more or less get into for free with a student ID and that has some really awesome art (VanGogh, Monet, Renoir, some really famous stuff). Plus there are a billion colleges around so there are always student plays going on that you can rush for like 5 bucks if that's your thing. The Huntington theater is a good place to catch some of those. And the Harvard Film archive and the Brattle Theater show a lot of cool art films and classic movies if you're into that. Plus the Kendall theater in Cambridge gets all the "limited release" critical favorite movies that only go to, like, six cities.

Tourist-wise, I'd say the Old North Church is really cool if you're in the North End. The whole Faniuel hall area is pretty nice. The Public Garden is pretty in the fall or spring. And if you get really ambitious, the freedom trail is awesome if you're a touristy geek like me, but it takes all day.

Also, go to Newbury Comics. It doesn't matter if it's on Newbury Street or in Harvard Sq, just go. It's a music fan's dream. You'll wonder how you ever shopped at an FYE or BestBuy before. Gotta love independent record stores.

That's as thorough as I can get off the top of my head. Haha. hopefully it helps/

Hmm, depends. Are you big on touristy stuff? Or like culture shit? Regardless of any of that, you should def hit up Harvard Square in Cambridge. A ton of good restaurants, an independent movie theater, used record stores, comic book shops, etc.

It's been quite a while, hasn't it. I don't really mess with AP messages or anything like that, but if you send me a friend request on facebook I'll gladly send you my music recommendation list, to compare.

As Cities Burn's album is amazing. I love The Dangerous Summer too. Surprisingly I really dig Drop Dead, Gorgeous' album. haha. A few of the albums I've been looking forward to have been letdowns. At least Weeds is coming back on TV!

Reason 4.0 if you just want to program. If you want to record audio, I personally think Logic Pro is more valuable than even Pro Tools.

That is seriously one of the most disturbing movie posters I've seen in a while. If ever.
I'm glad that they're making more of his books into films. It needed to be done.

Yeah, he's one of my favorites. I agree with you, his endings never disappoint.

I just finished Choke a few weeks ago. That was extraordinary, but my favorite of his so far would have to be either Fight Club or Survivor.
