Hey my name is Max and I love listening to and playing music. I guess why I wanted to start writing on here is to give a little bit of attention to bands I don't think get enough recognition, however minor it may be. I HATE the idea of rating albums because music is completely subjective. Any rating I give is strictly how much I personally like the album while the review itself will be more objective. I'm also not here to bash albums, it is difficult to be a musician. Extremely difficult. I respect anyone who attempts it. Lastly I will be reviewing albums of various genres. People get really caught up in labeling music and getting stuck to those labels (I'm guilty of this myself when I was younger). I wish people would treat music like movies. Seldom do you find someone who watches JUST comedies, or JUST horror movies. People certainly have a preference but that does not stop them from seeing movies of all genres. I feel music should be listened to exactly the same way. I will listen to pop, death metal, pop punk, ska, emo/scremo, and rock all in the same day. I've noticed screamo/ metal albums get a lot of negative feed back (not all but most)... all I can say is I used to hate that kind of music so I understand. That being said, they are great musicians and I will review that style of music and hope you don't hate it to much.
