Bryce Harper is not going to be a bust. Hes a Phenom no questions asked. His size and strength say it all. He has left high school as a sophmore to attend South Nevada Junior college so he may earn a ged to enter the draft at 17. Poeple are saying thats to young. But hispanic players are signed at 16 and dont speek english. Bryce Harper is the real thing and is ready. Yes unofficlay he hit a ball 570 feet. To many poeple saw it for it to be face. He has several times hit ball over 500 feet so its believable. The question is will he have a bat so young at the next level. Well hes bat speed is better then Mark Mguire. At SNJC hes batting well over 400 facing pitchers that throw well into the 90's and hes still cranking out homers. Yes he will be a Catcher. So he can throw 96. It would take extra time in the minors to develop into a pitcher or shortstop. ANd yes hes fast but the outfield or first base is a waste of his other skills. He wont deteriorate as a catcher. He has scored from 2nd on wild pitches 6 times. With his bat power and speed singles will be doubles and doubles will be triples. Hes will need two years in the minors just because you want to be careful he is young and no matter how good you are it takes time to adjust to the field and pressure. He will be the number one pick. But hes represented by boras so dont be supries to see him break strasburgs record on his contract. Will Harper catch for strasburg? Harpers could be worth MLB level talent now something the nationals need so dont be surprised to see a trade. Thats is the nationals get him. At this rate hell be an Oriole. But they have Weiters the whos only 24 and developing great. I think theyll still take Harper as something to use for value. . The yankees have great young catchers in their system waiting for posada to retire but you never know i would not be surprised to see harper in pin stripes when his first contract is up demolishing A rods contract record.
