I felt like a musical sponge growing up. Something would appeal to me and I would embrace it full-force. I think I'm a complete addict at heart. That's the reason I can't do drugs or anything like that because I go too hard with it, whatever I do. Musically I think it was the same thing. I couldn't just be bothered with one style or one kind of music or one instrument. No one scene, I guess you could say. There's too much good stuff out there to be inspired by.

I love how people assume when I work with an artist that the actual ARTIST has nothing to do with deciding how it will sound. Before an intimate audience at the Museum's Clive Davis Theater, Walker discussed how his work as a producer rejuvenated his interest in music and afforded opportunities to explore his "guilty pleasures," among other topics. He also performed a brief set, including the title track from his 2013 EP, Peachtree Battle.
