What is it that upsets people so much about me (Buddy Nielsen) speaking up about LGBTQ rights? I am generally interested to hear what it is that bothers people so much about it? I identify as Queer and recently came out, I feel the need to raise awareness about the shame and silence I stayed in for 25 years. This is a band fronted by someone who is not straight. I cannot separate my music from internally who I am and am not willing to. The rights of other LGBTQ people are very important to me.

For over 9 years I suffered in a cycle of shame over my sexuality, substance abuse, sexual addiction, anxiety, depression, grief and self loathing. I fell into a pit of despair and did a lot of damage to myself and to people around me.
