We would like to thank everyone who has supported From Atlantis for the last few years and anyone else has helped us get to where we are today. Recently the band has come to the agreement to part ways and no longer continue forward with From Atlantis. It was a neutral understanding on the reasons for our departure. We would really like the thank Telle for being there for us and the rest of the FA team for helping us out, it's been great working with you guys. As for all of our fans we really appreciate the love & support you have shown us. Playing to all of you who have come out to our shows, it's been a real pleasure traveling the country to perform for all...
Well everyone, it's been a wild ride for Attack Attack, but I think it's about time Whiting and I take some time to write this note. We want to start by thanking every single one of you that has ever come out to a show, bought a shirt, gotten in a fight over crabcore, or spent the time to send us notes online. We have been insanely blessed to be able to do what we have done with AA and we think it's time that we wrap up this chapter in our lives. Yes, this means exactly what you think it means. The Back in Action Tour will be Attack Attack's final and most ironic tour. After 6 long years of playing in garages, VFW...
After seven years, we've decided to put Gifts From Enola to sleep. For those who didn't pick up on the subtle (and sometimes not-so-subtle) hints, we knew that A Healthy Fear would be the last thing we were going to do for a long while. The band slowly became a full-time occupation over the years, and once we all graduated college, we had the opportunity to hit the road non-stop and hang on to the music industry zipline by our fingertips the best we could. Despite all of the incredible experiences we had, the experiment left us vehicleless and in financial discomfort after a handful of years of grinding it out full-time. We decided to let our...
This Condition has announced their farewell. They will be performing two final shows (April 19 Toquet Hall Westport CT, April 28 Highline Ballroom NYC) and disbanding. On a good note, the band will also be releasing a new record on April 23, 2013.
It's not easy to write this message. We can't begin to express how grateful we are for the support that we have received over the past 6 years. Yeah... 6 years.
We played our first show in March of 2007 at a venue called Noche Blue on Long Island. We had no clue what we were doing or where this band would take us. Fast forward to 2013 and we have played more than 250 shows in 40 states. We've been lucky enough to open for some of our musical...
It saddens me deeply to announce that after almost 9 years of playing together, Aficionado has officially broken up.
Since I was a kid, all I ever wanted to do was live the "band life"…revolve everything around music, do nothing but create, record, and then get in a van, travel around and play shows with my friends. For the past couple of years that was my life and I'm really grateful for that experience.
Thanks so much to Chris Hansen of No Sleep Records for taking a chance on us. Thanks to Phil Battiato at the Agency Group for working his ass off and getting us on a bunch of awesome tours. Thanks to anyone who ever cared about what we were doing, all...
Today, it's time to announce to our fans and friends that we're turning the last page of this particular chapter of our lives. We've solidified plans to tour our well-traveled asses off for one last year, until the end of 2013, at which time we will be not necessarily be moving on from the band, but changing our approach to what we do with the majority of our time. More specifically, we will no longer be touring year round, nor will we be touring much at all anymore. We have decided to step away from the table before we get sick of our favorite meal; we've seen enough bands over the years grow old playing the same songs for...
Hello World. TUI here. We're writing to give everyone an update on the future of the band. Let's get straight to the point: Beginning in August 2013, Trapped Under Ice is going on a pretty lengthy hiatus. We are NOT breaking up. This is by no means the end of TUI. We just decided that it was important to keep the band fresh and something the five of us enjoy. We don't wanna spin the wheels for nothing and just write music because we feel like we have to. We don't really feel right about just putting out another record for the sake of touring right now. So, while its still fun, we're gonna go on a...
We’ve decided to take a hiatus from active status. This does indeed mean we will not be playing Block Party in New Orleans. Usually this type of announcement would be accompanied by a longwinded rant about how unique our struggle was, how every ending is a new beginning, or something else equally stupid and bullshitty. I’d rather just leave it at this:
We were a band. Maybe someday we will be again. We’ve had some amazing times, and we truly appreciate those of you who’ve contributed to our existence. We’ve never been a supercool hype band or uberpunx beardy band, so we thank each and every one of you who listened to our music over the...
An all female band in Kashmir were forced to break-up after a fatwa was declared on them by a senior cleric who stated, "Shameful incidents like gang rapes, that happened in Hindustan recently, are a result of all this. It happens when women are given freedom to roam around, sing and dance."
The members of Pragaash, a Kashmiri word that means "from darkness to light," have been the subject of escalating threats in the past month. The girls, 16-year-old vocalist Noma Nazir, drummer Farah Deeba, and guitarist Aneeka Khalid, both age 15, formed their trio at a music institute where they all took classes after school.
Allstar Weekend will be going on indefinite hiatus after Warped Tour. They will be starting a new band with the same members and a new, currently undecided, name. Read a statement from the band in the replies.
WU LYF has seemingly broken up. A new track titled "T R I U M P H" was posted on YouTube with a message from singer Ellery James Roberts. The band's debut album Go Tell Fire To The Mountain was released in 2011 and they also featured in our Absolute 100 of the same year. Hit the replies to hear the new song and read the full and detailed message posted alongside it.
