Trevor Powers, the man behind Youth Lagoon has decided to retire the moniker.
"...(Youth Lagoon's three albums) occupy a certain isolated and solitary spectrum. It is a space I no longer inhabit, nor want to inhabit."

Chumped are going on hiatus.
It brings us a metric fuck ton of feels to say this, but tomorrow will be our last show for an indefinite period of time. We play FEST at The Wooly at 10:20PM (tmw, sunday). It would be really special if you all would come out to help us celebrate. Chumped played for the first time in front of other humans on February 5th, 2013. We never could have imagined the things that a little project started in an apartment in New York City could have allowed us to experience. We have traveled incredible distances, made beautiful friends and actualized seemingly impossible dreams. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this project, who has listened, who has...

We've thought about calling this a hiatus or just saying things are over, but if we’re completely honest we can’t quite bring ourselves to put our feet firmly in either camp. There are numerous personal reasons why this has to happen for some of us. For others I'm sure they’d prefer to be carrying on, but the nature of a band means that you have to find a solution which suits everyone and that’s what we’re doing here. That’s why we've decided that these will be our last shows and leaving it at that.

The singer of Far-Less explains in a new blog why the band broke up.
So, why did I want to leave a band that was on the brink of success (maybe)? I hated myself and I wasn’t confident enough to deal with low show turn outs and internal band politics. I was increasingly jealous of our friends who were doing well and I couldn’t stand it. I used being in (bad) relationships as my excuse to move and just disappear and I regretted it almost immediately.

The UK rock band, Blitz Kids have called it quits. They have also cancelled their upcoming UK tour and will be scheduling a farewell tour.
I don’t want to talk in clichés or metaphor, so I’m just going to come straight out with it. It is with heavy hearts but heads held high that we must announce it is time for us to take our leave.
We have always said that we are friends, first and foremost, before a band. And it is as friends that we have reached this decision to end this incredible adventure that we started 8 years ago. Between then and now, this band has taken us to beautiful places that we’d never have experienced without it, and introduced us to people who we consider family and...

This Century are breaking up.
We have decided as a band that after eight amazing and fulfilling years, we will be closing this chapter of our lives and stepping out into the next. This band has allowed us to grow and learn more about each other than we ever thought we would, and we all feel like we’re better people because of that and because of you guys. We love each other like brothers, we always have and we always will, so we’re happy to say this isn’t a result of anything negative. This Century has been an amazing experience, but we unanimously agreed while we were making this new album that it was time to move on to pursue each of our passions and musical projects. We wanted to see...

Adestria has broken up.
I've always tried to be as honest and upfront with you as I can, and I'll do my best to keep that up. As of now, there is no new music, and no new tours for us in the future. We did a lot of soul searching the past few months, and we amicably came to the conclusion that we're taking an indefinite break. In truth, it's a bummer that we're done. But that's how this goes. Music changes, members change, and it's hard living off $5 a day haha. Only a rare few bands can make a life out of music, and we were lucky enough (and very grateful) to do this as long as we did. Thanks to all of you for the support, whether you downloaded a cd, let us crash on your floor, bought...
