Blur will receive the "Outstanding Contribution To Music Award" at the 2012 Brit Awards. The band's bassist, Alex James, has also hinted at the band getting together over Christmas to start recording new material.

Fugazi Live Series, an online archive of past Fugazi shows and recordings, has been officially launched. The band will release 130 concert downloads (100 new shows, and the 30 shows released on the out-of-print Fugazi Live Series CDs), along with additional photos, flyers, and downloads until the archive is complete. To keep with the band's DIY ethic, the suggested fee is $5 or set your own price.
