They will play their first show with Have Mercy and Gates in Brooklyn this weekend, on Dec. 8 at Saint Vitus. Periphery have announced Clear , an experimental recording project due Jan 28. Each member of the band will "control" their own track, coming together in a 30 minute release. Full details below, and a teaser with new music in the replies. You can pre-order here.
Clear is an experiment to explore all of the different writing styles in the band. It's rare when you have a band where every member is capable of writing and producing music. With each member controlling their own track, this recording enabled us to go down any path we chose in terms of style and sound.

ďEvery track also contains a melodic theme established in Clear's intro track Overture this common thread links all of...

We The Kings have changed the name of their album to Somewhere, Somehow. As in, "somewhere, somehow, someone still cares we are releasing this album."

Virginia singer/songwriter Jim Ivins, after dropping one of my favorite EPs of 2011 (the solo acoustic work of Late Night Drive) and another great collection last year (the full-band effort, Everything We Wanted) is now turning his attention to a new band called Tomorrows. The band's first single, called "Heartbreakers" is straight ahead, riff-heavy rock 'n' roll, and you can hear it right here. The band will release their full-length debut album, called The Code Duello, in 2014.

William Control's new album The Neuromancer has been delayed. The full letter from William explaining why is in the replies.
Part of the problem is I canít stay in one place long enough to properly listen to the mixes, approve them and have whatever changes made in a timely fashion. Itís quite infuriating and at this rate the record will not come out on time. So Iíve decided to delay the release until I can gather all of the pieces of this little endeavor and get them out at the same time.

This represents his 18th studio album and the follow-up to 2012's No. 1-charting Wrecking Ball. The rest of the album is composed of new or previously unreleased material.
