Speaking exclusively to the UK’s The Telegraph, he said: “We are definitely getting together in May in Vancouver. We’re going to pick up some guitars, have a plonk, and see if anybody has got any tunes or ideas. If anything happens, we’ll record it.”
Northern Faces (Equal Vision Records) has started tracking the band's first full-length album with Casey Bates (Portugal, The Man). The album is set for release later this year and follows the band's acclaimed EP Southern Places.
Additionally, this stands as the initial post on a new nexus: The Panopticon, which through its simplicity should better address the speed of modern life. A continuing feature, items regarding each day’s recording will be shared that same evening, with song titles, lyrics, poetic impressions, pictures, sound clips, studio gear and the like offered for a circuitous, bird’s eye view of the process as it unfolds.
Vanna have entered the studio with producer Will Putney (Stray From the Path, Counterparts) to begin recording their fifth full length. It's due out this summer via Pure Noise Records.
One of the things we love most about music is the freedom to try new things and mess around with new sounds and bring different elements into play. We've gotten to work with such amazing producers and engineers in the past. As we started looking towards our future and what we wanted to capture with a new record we started jamming some of out favorite sounding records of late and they all had one common denominator, Will Putney.
Making the move to Pure Noise Records was a direction step for us that we...
Pallbearer are currently at Type Foundry Studio in Portland, OR with producer/engineer Billy Anderson (Neurosis, Melvins, Sleep, Swans) recording what will become the band's follow-up to 2012's monumental Sorrow & Extinction. Expect the LP later in 2014.

We had a good productive practice tonight (minus Rob..he’s on tour with Implants) We went over all the songs we’ve got written so far and we even wrote another one. I think we’ve got like 18 now and we will narrow it down to the best. December is crunch time cause we shall be hitting the studio by the 1st week of January 2014. This means, 2014 will for sure be seeing a new Strung Out album!
The band on the new album is Brian Bequette (Bass), Brian Fallon (Guitar), Joe Magistro (Drums), Kevin Salem (Production, Guitars and batting clean-up), and of course yours truly. The album will be released next year, but not until I feel it has a snowball's chance in hell. It's too good. Stay tuned, I'll keep you posted.
