"Now when I listen to a really good song, I start nodding my head, like I'm saying 'yeeess' to every beat. Yes Yes Yes, this rocks. And then sometimes I switch it up like. No, No, No! Don't stop-a-rockin'!" - Homer Simpson on how to properly rock out.

Better theme song: "Ninja Rap" by Vanilla Ice or "Addams Groove" by M.C. Hammer? Answer: No theme song will ever be better than "Hey Sandy" by Polaris.

Hey! When can I get a Punk Goes Nu-Metal?! Kudos to the band that gets "It's Been Awhile" as their track.
Adam PfleiderCaspian's Waking Season.
Alex DiVincenzoThe Offspring's Americana was my first CD when I was 9. It opened the door to punk rock for me, so I guess you could say it changed my life. Somehow I had never seen them until a couple weeks ago, and shooting them was a cool, nostalgic experience. Look at my photos here.

When do we ever really have to say something?
BlakeYoung Statues' self-titled record is such an understated joy. Their brand of thoughtful pop-rock is not just mesmerizing, it's cathartic. Other than that, it's been a steady stream of Junior Astronomers and Harrison Hudson after seeing the Ap.net sponsored Favorite Gentlemen Tour.
Jack Appleby New Roy English is a jam. Lots of Matt Embree over the last few days after his acoustic set this weekend - it's unreal how smooth he is. Plus Bedlight For Blue Eyes found its way back to my headphones.

Well it was a big to-do.
BlakeI got into a weird and oddly philosophical (for me, at least) conversation about Weezer the other day, and have been spinning them non-stop. The Blue Album, Pinkerton, Raditude and Maladroit, to be exact. Lots of great stuff, and "Trampoline" from Death to False Metal is also a gem. Never been a big fan, but I'm digging now, especially after engrossing myself in lots of backstory. Love it when that happens.
Ryan GardnerSleeping With Sirens, The Moon Is Down obviously, Handwritten, and The American Scene. Oh and I'm super late on this, but seriously, go listen to The Front Bottoms now.

Whoops, it's Sunday. Ever have those moments when you're like, "I know it's definitely a specific day of the week in which I do a specific thing, but I'm not sure what day it is or what the thing I always do is."? Ever have those moments? You do! That's great. (Well, it's not great, but whatever). We are totally bonding over our somewhat sad and very premature memory problem. We can start a support group. Friend me on Friendster.
BlakeI'm listening to Wolves At The Gates' new album Captors and it's pretty much exactly what I expected. Loud, religious (probably) and pretty fun. I've also re-found Saosin's self-titled record this week. "Sleepers" is such a jam. Happy early 4th of July.

The other night I saw a blind guy get helped up by a crowd to crowd-surf and then helped back down. He was going hard in the pit the whole time. It was a beautiful thing to witness. My jazz history professor in college once told me to think of music without the visuals. Keep your eyes closed most of the week while listening - well, unless you're driving.

Hi, and welcome to the part of your day/night where you look below and see me talking about Japandroids. And then look below and see other people hopefully talking about Japandroids.
