Max Bemis and Sherri DuPree-Bemis recently gave a little house tour to A Beautiful Mess. The blog also premiered a new Perma song titled "Let's Start A Band" (along with two previously released songs). The record will hit stores on October 29th.
Max Bemis (Say Anything) will hit the road this winter on an acoustic headline tour that will feature sets from Matt Pryor of The Get Up Kids, Perma, Sherri DuPree-Bemis of Eisley, and Merriment. You can also check out a new Perma song titled "Little Light" at Diffuser. The band's debut album is also available to pre-order. You can find the dates and more details in the replies.
Say Anything won't be performing at Riot Fest this year due to a medical issue with an unnamed member of the band. A statement from Max Bemis is below; we send our best wishes along. Riot Fest set times were posted yesterday.
Hey y’all, with one of our members dealing with some pressing and unavoidable medical issues, we regretfully have to pull out of Riot Fest. Suffice to say we are bummed. Our sincere apologies to anyone hoping to see us. Meanwhile, you guys enjoy the great line up at Riot this year and we promise to make it up when we tour our new record in 2014.

Max Bemis will make his debut with Marvel Comics, penning a story in November's A+X #14. This will be his first work for a major publisher. The artwork is below.
The story, which features a team-up between the Superior Spider-Man and Magneto, is described as Bemis as being "high concept."
"It can’t just be like, 'Let’s just take the Hulk and Spider-Man and put them against this particular bad guy and they find some creative way of beating him,'" Bemis said of the story. “How do you take a team-up and make it more of a psychological study than an action piece? All of the ideas I pitched had that sort of element to it."
Whether you’re a fan of rare, old Say Anything cuts or just dig tracks from the self-titled and Anarchy records, this is the show for you. Having a little bit of everything – and more surprises – this has to be one of the best concerts I’ve ever been to. Northern Faces bring the gritty bluesy rock, HRVRD the theatrics, Eisley the intricate atmosphere, and Say Anything top it all off with their raw, punk-inspired nature. Clearly, Equal Vision Records continues to have one of the best lineups of any label today.
Max Bemis will be releasing a new Painful Splits record exclusively on Say Anything's summer tour. It's already been recorded (in a more professional manner than the last three states Max) and each cd is looking like they will be signed if all goes to plan. More details can be found in the replies.
The Say Anything and Eisley split 7" will be available tomorrow, May 10, via Equal Vision's merchNOW site. It'll also be available on the band’s upcoming full US tour together, as well as in stores this summer. More details in the replies.
It's a big week for Max Bemis (Say Anything) as the first issue of his new comic book series, Polarity, hits stores today. We haven't heard too much from him recently as he's been busy with the comic series, his numerous musical projects, and, you know, being a new dad. Luckily, Max was able to find some precious free time last week to speak with me about what it's like being a new father and how Polarity came to be, as well as some very informative updates about his projects, especially a peak into what we should expect on the next Say Anything record and how the AP.net community influenced it.
And also, just sonically, and I know I’m being a tease, but there’s definitely going to...

Hey y'all... just wanted to say as we approach the 2013 opening of Song Shop that it has been a great honor being able to do this project for the past 4 or 5 years. As of now we have sent out about 3000 songs (crazzzzy) and I couldn't be more proud of the reactions we've been getting. It's beyond fulfilling and I am so thankful to get to know all of you so closely. Many of you guys know my wife Sherri and I are about to have our first daughter, Lucy- even though technically when you buy a song you're paying for a service, you're also giving us as a family a huge...
At last night's Rarities release show in Austin, Max Bemis announced a handful of updates. Max and Sherri's daughter Lucy will be born within the next few weeks or so. The Perma record is almost finished and will be released in fall. Lastly, Bemis has written half of the next Say Anything record, calling it his darkest, most twisted material. The band will hit the studio to record it after the Perma record is out.
We've received exclusive word that Max Bemis and Sherri Dupree-Bemis have officially starting tracking Perma's full-length debut in Tyler, TX. The album is due out in 2013 and will be accompanied by touring and music videos.
You can pre-order Say Anything's In Defense of The Genre on 2xLP here. The album is set to release on January 15, 2013. The album includes 27 tracks on a 2XLP available in three colors – 180 Gram Black (LTD 500), Purple (LTD 500) and Gold (LTD 1,500 – Hot Topic Exclusive).
