Sharks have broken up.
We're sorry to announce that the four of us have decided to end our journey as Sharks.

Unfortunately all of our upcoming dates have been cancelled and we have no plans as of yet to play any final shows. We sincerely apologise to anyone who has bought tickets or were planning to buy tickets to any of these shows. On a positive note, we have just finished making a brand new music video for 'Gold' with our good friend Tom Lacey, which we'll be releasing for all of you in the coming weeks. We will also be holding a sale on all of the remaining Sharks shirts we have available, none of which will be re-printed.

We want to thank all of you for the incredible...

After five years as a band, With The Punches are going on a hiatus. The band has announced four last tour dates that you can find in the replies.
After 5 years, 2 EP's, 1 LP, 3 Continents, 4 Vehicles, and a few hundred shows, With The Punches is sad to announce that we will be going on hiatus for a while. We would like to thank everyone who ever took the time to listen to our band, everyone who supported us in any way, and those of you who went above and beyond and helped us keep it together at times where falling apart could have so easilly happened. We will be doing a run of last shows in August (the dates of which are listed below) in which we will be playing as many of our songs as...

House VS Hurricane are breaking up.
After nearly 7 years as a band we, House Vs Hurricane have decided it's time for us to move on and call it day.

The five if us could have never imagined the amount of support we have received since our beginnings from our fans, friends, families, past members and and the amazing team that has been behind us the entire way.

We see this as an exciting step more than anything else, of course it's sad but we have been given the opportunity to travel the world, record music, meet so many amazing people and share what we do with anyone who will listen, and for that we are so so grateful and humbled.

We have an Australian tour coming up later this...

Inhale Exhale are breaking up.
As of right now, after touring 10+ countries, releasing 4 studio albums internationally, and shooting videos and singles and all that goes along with being in this band, Inhale Exhale is coming to an end. We will be playing Alliance Festival that we have up on our tour page, but have not said yes to any other show offers or festivals this year. We have only briefly discussed if we want to have a final show. We have become to busy with other endeavors or our hearts and minds are elsewhere.

Thankful, always for all of your support and care for Inhale Exhale. When we were on the road all the time, and when we've been off, and only communicating through our...

From Atlantis has broken up.
We would like to thank everyone who has supported From Atlantis for the last few years and anyone else has helped us get to where we are today. Recently the band has come to the agreement to part ways and no longer continue forward with From Atlantis. It was a neutral understanding on the reasons for our departure. We would really like the thank Telle for being there for us and the rest of the FA team for helping us out, it's been great working with you guys. As for all of our fans we really appreciate the love & support you have shown us. Playing to all of you who have come out to our shows, it's been a real pleasure traveling the country to perform for all...

Attack Attack! are breaking up following their "Back In Action Tour."
Well everyone, it's been a wild ride for Attack Attack, but I think it's about time Whiting and I take some time to write this note. We want to start by thanking every single one of you that has ever come out to a show, bought a shirt, gotten in a fight over crabcore, or spent the time to send us notes online. We have been insanely blessed to be able to do what we have done with AA and we think it's time that we wrap up this chapter in our lives. Yes, this means exactly what you think it means. The Back in Action Tour will be Attack Attack's final and most ironic tour. After 6 long years of playing in garages, VFW...

Gifts From Enola have broken up.
After seven years, we've decided to put Gifts From Enola to sleep. For those who didn't pick up on the subtle (and sometimes not-so-subtle) hints, we knew that A Healthy Fear would be the last thing we were going to do for a long while. The band slowly became a full-time occupation over the years, and once we all graduated college, we had the opportunity to hit the road non-stop and hang on to the music industry zipline by our fingertips the best we could. Despite all of the incredible experiences we had, the experiment left us vehicleless and in financial discomfort after a handful of years of grinding it out full-time. We decided to let our...

This Condition has announced their farewell. They will be performing two final shows (April 19 Toquet Hall Westport CT, April 28 Highline Ballroom NYC) and disbanding. On a good note, the band will also be releasing a new record on April 23, 2013.
It's not easy to write this message. We can't begin to express how grateful we are for the support that we have received over the past 6 years. Yeah... 6 years.

We played our first show in March of 2007 at a venue called Noche Blue on Long Island. We had no clue what we were doing or where this band would take us. Fast forward to 2013 and we have played more than 250 shows in 40 states. We've been lucky enough to open for some of our musical...

Aficionado have broken up.
It saddens me deeply to announce that after almost 9 years of playing together, Aficionado has officially broken up.

Since I was a kid, all I ever wanted to do was live the "band life"…revolve everything around music, do nothing but create, record, and then get in a van, travel around and play shows with my friends. For the past couple of years that was my life and I'm really grateful for that experience.

Thanks so much to Chris Hansen of No Sleep Records for taking a chance on us. Thanks to Phil Battiato at the Agency Group for working his ass off and getting us on a bunch of awesome tours. Thanks to anyone who ever cared about what we were doing, all...

Streetlight Manifesto have gone on hiatus from touring.
Today, it's time to announce to our fans and friends that we're turning the last page of this particular chapter of our lives. We've solidified plans to tour our well-traveled asses off for one last year, until the end of 2013, at which time we will be not necessarily be moving on from the band, but changing our approach to what we do with the majority of our time. More specifically, we will no longer be touring year round, nor will we be touring much at all anymore. We have decided to step away from the table before we get sick of our favorite meal; we've seen enough bands over the years grow old playing the same songs for...

Trapped Under Ice are going on a "pretty lengthy hiatus" after their shows this summer.
Hello World. TUI here. We're writing to give everyone an update on the future of the band. Let's get straight to the point: Beginning in August 2013, Trapped Under Ice is going on a pretty lengthy hiatus. We are NOT breaking up. This is by no means the end of TUI. We just decided that it was important to keep the band fresh and something the five of us enjoy. We don't wanna spin the wheels for nothing and just write music because we feel like we have to. We don't really feel right about just putting out another record for the sake of touring right now. So, while its still fun, we're gonna go on a...

We Are the Union have broken up.
We’ve decided to take a hiatus from active status. This does indeed mean we will not be playing Block Party in New Orleans. Usually this type of announcement would be accompanied by a longwinded rant about how unique our struggle was, how every ending is a new beginning, or something else equally stupid and bullshitty. I’d rather just leave it at this:

We were a band. Maybe someday we will be again. We’ve had some amazing times, and we truly appreciate those of you who’ve contributed to our existence. We’ve never been a supercool hype band or uberpunx beardy band, so we thank each and every one of you who listened to our music over the...

An all female band in Kashmir were forced to break-up after a fatwa was declared on them by a senior cleric who stated, "Shameful incidents like gang rapes, that happened in Hindustan recently, are a result of all this. It happens when women are given freedom to roam around, sing and dance."
The members of Pragaash, a Kashmiri word that means "from darkness to light," have been the subject of escalating threats in the past month. The girls, 16-year-old vocalist Noma Nazir, drummer Farah Deeba, and guitarist Aneeka Khalid, both age 15, formed their trio at a music institute where they all took classes after school.

Bleeding Through frontman Brandan Schieppati has confirmed the band is breaking up. They will disband following farewell tours later this year.
StatementWhen you have some success doing something that you love, you never really think about writing a statement about that something coming to an end. Well, that dream that we have had as Bleeding Through has come to an end. I think I can speak for the rest of my bandmates in saying that we always hoped it would end on our terms, and it has. We have been fortunate to have a strong fan base worldwide and have brought joy to many and pissed off many more.

Bleeding Through was always a band that wore the emotion of the music on our sleeves....

Former Thieves are calling it quits. You can read a full statement from the band in the replies.
From The BandThe actual difficulty of being a band transcends location, privilege, ultimate goals, or musical ability. It's staying a band. That's the hard part. As a band progresses and time moves on, there is a lot of life happening in the periphery. It gets to be a lot to balance. The task becomes how well you can keep one foot planted in two polarized worlds, without getting completely lost in the tap-dancing act of making a home life and a band life work. There's no easy way to say this, but that's where we as Former Thieves have become exhausted.

WU LYF has seemingly broken up. A new track titled "T R I U M P H" was posted on YouTube with a message from singer Ellery James Roberts. The band's debut album Go Tell Fire To The Mountain was released in 2011 and they also featured in our Absolute 100 of the same year. Hit the replies to hear the new song and read the full and detailed message posted alongside it.
From The StatementWU LYF is dead to me. The sincerity of "Go tell fire" was lost in the bull shit of maintaining face in the world we live. Clap your hands chimp everybody's watching. Before Their Eyes will release their final album, The Finale sometime next year and will disband after.
From Nick MooreThe Finale. This will be the final chapter in the Before Their Eyes book. I started this band one night out of boredom sitting in my bedroom one night on township road 94 in Findlay, Ohio back in 2006. I never in my wildest of dreams thought we would travel the world playing hundreds of shows to thousands upon thousands of people. I have no regrets. I had some of the highest & lowest points of my life in this band. It really helped me find myself. I appreciate EVERY SINGLE one of you for supporting me and making me feel so special. Dr. Acula have broken up.
StatementsBill Graffeo: "After almost 8 years the band named Dr.Acula will be put to rest. Being the only original member that was left, it is very sad for me to actually have to say this. Dr.Acula started off as a joke back in 2005. Over the years we kept our sense of humour and pissed off many people. I have nothing but love and respect for ALMOST everyone that's ever been a part of DA. Especially my brother Kevin who saved this band on many occasions. I had quit the band a little less than a month ago. I had some personal problems of my own holding me back from continuing with DA. Most importantly I could not handle the 'sketchy' things some people...

Lifestory: Monologue is breaking up. Information about a final tour, a farewell EP and more can be found in the statement below.
Statement from the BandYes, it’s true. 2012 will be Lifestory: Monologue’s final year.
This summer Richard made us aware that his heart had shifted. He informed us that he desired to make his family and career the primary focus of his life and with this part ways with Lifestory: Monologue. Although a deep sadness was our first reaction (Richard and I cried together on my porch for a good half hour) we’ve all come to respect and honor this decision. It was and is the right one. Shortly afterwards, the remaining five of us unanimously agreed that this...
