In a Facebook post, Black Flag singer Ron Reyes says that during the band's Nov. 24 show he was effectively fired mid-set.
On November 24th 2013 the last night of the Australian Hits and Pits tour with two songs left in the set Mike V comes on stage stares me down, takes my mic and says "You're done, party's over get off it's over..." He said something else to me but it was a lie so I won't repeat it here. So with a sense of great relief that it was finally over I left the stage and walked to the hotel room. They finished the set with Mike V on vocals. There is much more that can and perhaps should be said. But for now I will spare you the gory details. The writing was on the wall since...
Soooooooo, the newest DGD album was the end of the current contract with Rise, that might give you an idea as to Secret band's delay, also we added Martin Bianchini to our lineup on guitar, he played some guest guitar on the DGD song "the jiggler," we also added Jordan Mccoy on bass, who has toured in DGD on bass before...
Unfortunately my time with The bunny the bear has come to an end, but fret not! You will be seeing the return of the old bear! to all the people I've had the pleasure to meet, you were all fantastic and I consider you all family! Till next time, seacrest out!
The Company We Keep vocalist Haden Brightwell will not be touring with the band; TCWK will perform their 11/14 - 11/16 dates with a replacement vocalist, and has dropped all other tour dates. A statement from guitarist Brian Southall is below, with another expected in the coming weeks.
Branden & I wanted nothing more than to spend these next few weeks on stage playing our new album for anyone that would listen, but now that will not be possible. Unfortunately, Haden informed us last week that she will be unable to join us on this tour. Her reasons are not ours to share. Our friend Kara Dupuy has offered to help us out during this time so that we can at least perform at our 2 Album...
I'm very proud to announce that I'm the newest addition to the band Legend. I will be lead guitar/principal songwriter and I couldnít be more excited. I have continued writing material as always, searching for someone with a huge voice to carry my music. Upon brainstorming I almost shit my pants when I imagined Chad Ruhligís voice over my riffs! I got in touch with him to sing on some of my songs for fun and he threw the idea out to just be in Legend. Being a fan of The Pale Horse record, I accepted the invitation and here we are today...
All Shall Perish bassist Mike Tiner spoke with Metal Injection about how Suicide Silence's management basically gave the band no choice but to fire their former vocalist Eddie Hermida, who was then announced as the new vocalist of Suicide Silence a short time later.
Suicide Silence's management informed us of all of the things All Shall Perish would and would not be "allowed" to do. All Shall Perish could not play a show until Eddie was well "established" as the new singer of Suicide Silence. Suicide Silence's management told us that they would have to be well into their new album and touring cycle before All Shall Perish could be seen again with Eddie," Tiner told Metal Injection.
Kyle Even has left Breathe Carolina. The band made the announcement in a a video that can be watched in the replies. The band also announced that they would be releasing a new album titled Savages in 2014.
Suicide Silence is pleased to announce the addition of Eddie Hermida to the family. Many of you may be familiar with Eddie through his work with All Shall Perish. For those of you unfamiliar, our relationship with Eddie goes way back to the Spreading Disease Tour, our first U.S. headlining run, in 2006. Mitch & Eddie remained long-time friends and we felt that if the band were to continue it should be with someone Mitch knew personally and respected as both a friend and an...
This past weekend after a band discussion we asked Marcus and Delia to leave Dowsing. It was neither an easy decision nor one that was met with enthusiasm. In order to move forward as a band we needed to address issues that are not worth repeating on the Internet.
Dance Gavin Dance guitarist Will Swan, A Lot Like Birds drummer Joseph Arrington and bassist Michael Littlefield, Hail The Sun vocalist Donovan Melero, and Stolas guitarist Sergio Medina have formed a new band: Sianvar (pronounced sea-en-var). The band is writing in Sacramento, prepping 5 songs to record with producer Josh Benton (Secret Band, Hail The Sun), to be released as soon as they can. The band is yet to determine whether the EP will be a self-release or label release.
We have decided to part ways with Bradley Walden. This is not a total disbandment. There needed to be a change within the group and letting him go is more than a positive one. We apologize to any of our fans who showed their love and support with the previous line up. The last thing we wanted to do was let our fans down. Itís just a change that needed to happen. We wish Bradley the best in all future endeavors.
Our brother and band mate Michael Mcdermott has decided to leave the band to pursue other musical interests. It has been an amazing 13 and a half years. We love you and wish you all the best! Here's to the memories! We don't know what's next (we never have!) but we know its gonna be rad! Onto the future!
During The Amity Affliction's set at Warped Tour in Portland a few days ago, the band's drummer sustained an injury while performing. A piece of his drumstick chipped off going right into his cornea which caused a cut and required immediate eye surgery. The band did not perform at today's Warped Tour set in San Diego however they are expected to return in Pomona tomorrow. Chad from Glass Cloud will fill in behind the kit for the rest of the tour. We wish Ryan from The Amity Affliction a speedy recovery.
It is with excitement and zero negativity that Massachusetts' based, The Acacia Strain announce the addition of two new full time members, Devin Shidaker and Richard Gomez, both on guitar. After many years of service, Daniel "DL" Laskiewicz will no longer be writing music for The Acacia Strain and we wish him the best in all of his future endeavors.
As a band who tours, it is very unfair to have people who have stuck by us and tell them that they have no say or can't be an active participant. (Thank you for life Tony Diaz).
As a band, our perspective is for all of us to be involved and be a...
"Paul's a great drummer and a good friend, and we're very happy that he's decided to rejoin the band," said Tom Araya. "We're still pretty numb from the loss of Jeff, but we don't want to disappoint our European fans, and we need to begin moving forward... having Paul back in the band makes that a whole lot easier."
"I'm very excited to be rejoining Slayer," added Bostaph. "We spent a very intense ten years of our lives together, had a lot of fun, made a lot of great music, so for me, this feels like coming home."
Well, if you havent noticed, i havent played a show with the acacia strain in years and ive just been writing the music for them. Ive been informed today that they will continue on without me, meaning shows and writing albums. This is totally understandable and i wish the band the best. I'll be around, as im still recording and producing and also have another project in the works.
Linkin Park's Chester Bennington has joined Stone Temple Pilots, replacing original vocalist Scott Weiland (fired for the billionth time in February). The band revealed Chester in a surprise performance at the KROQ Weenie Roast yesterday, playing a set which included a new song called "Out Of Time." The recorded version is in the replies - What do you think?
Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit have added guitarist Sadler Vaden in preparation for their upcoming summer tour--dates are in the replies. Isbell releases his second solo album Southeastern on June 11 via Thirty Tigers.
I didnít want to really mention this or draw a lot of attention to it because itís really just not a big deal, but so many of you are asking since he posted on twitter yesterday. Christian is no longer playing in Candy Hearts. We want to assure you that the three of us (Kris, Matt and I) believe this is the best possible move for our band. We are more excited than ever to make a new record, tour and keep getting our music out there to you guys - because you mean the most us.
Xander Bourgeois has left Secrets to pursue other projects in addition to trying to maintain his sobriety.
Hey everyone, its Xander here.
as we know, all good things come to an end, BUT this is definitely not the end for neither myself nor Secrets, but I have made the decision to quit Secrets in order to maintain my sobriety and also make a new band for myself. I love everyone in this band and wish Secrets the best, I hope all of you can understand where I am coming from, I love you guys so much and thank you for the abundance in support throughout the past two years. see you soon.
here is a video I made in order to further explain my decision.
Five-plus years later here I am writing about a name that suddenly carries some meaning. There are people across the country who know what Tiger! Tiger! is. No longer is it just a collection of songs that Iíve written. When we go to play shows in other states people come and sing along. They recognize our songs and enjoy watching Tiger! Tiger! play. It honestly blows my and all the rest of my bandmateís minds that this happens. We understand that weíre not the biggest band around, but we know that there are plenty of people out there that love and care about Tiger! Tiger!....
The album also features three drummers: Dave Grohl, as was previously reported; Joey Castillo, the bandís now-former drummer; and Jon Theodore, who played drums for The Mars Volta on their first three records and accompanying tours, as well as One Day As a Lion with Zack De La Rocha of Rage Against The Machine. The announcement below is cryptic in just how much of a role Theodore plays, but itís our understanding that he is the current active drummer in Queens Of The Stone Age.
Baroness drummer Allen Blickle and bassist Matt Maggioni have parted ways with the band.
Nothing can truly prepare you for a brush with death. The event is unique one, singular to the observer. Trust me, you donít want to invite the experience. Our bus accident left indelible marks, external and internal, physical and mental, you name it. Each of the nine of us went through and continues to go through an entirely different, yet common experience. We are tied to each other by a trauma, which, despite its damage, has been made individually easier through our shared ordeal. While I would never wish the incident on anyone, I cannot imagine going through that wreck alone.
