With a healthy team I don't see them not competing again for the for the A.L. East. I think Tampaís real strong again and I think Boston is really strong again and you know theyíre going to be right there in the mix at the end. Iím a Yankees fan. I gotta go for it -- of course they could win the World Series this year. Why not?

Brian Fallon has posted a lengthy blog about The Gaslight Anthem's future. The band's going to go dark for a little while.
I'm going to go away from the press and interviews now until we finish writing our next record and find out what we will be in the next chapter of our artistic careers. I have nothing left to say until we find what that next chapter of our band is.
To our fansÖ please bear with us through this awkward period of finding our new legs. Iím being honest with you here because I am grateful for your loyalty to my band.
Working on new songs for a new Gaslight Anthem album in 2014. Dig it. Tourís been great, Brianís very pleased he hasnít has many photos of him taken. Heís busy in the back of the bus writing new songs, something about Bob Dylan and Led Zepplin and Neil Young in the same band. We donít know what heís on about. Weíll leave him be for nowÖ We havenít seen him in anything but sunglasses for the last three days. At least Ray Ban is very pleased. More to come, this will updated WAY more frequently now that weíve stolen it from Brian. Though he may arise from his tomb of 60ís and 70ís records and write something odd...
To me, The Gaslight Anthem just sounds like American rock music should. Listening to their records makes me wonder what it must have been like growing up in the 70s or 80s, and I canít help but feel like this is the type of music my dad and his friends grew up listening to. Gaslight represent the new face of rock and roll music, and each member delivers exactly this on stage. Seeing the band live made me realize exactly why we all their songs so much Ė simpler, older times brought to life today. As one of the defining rock bands of our generation,...
